Three Springs Campground

Three Springs Campground is in great need of fixing up. I would describe it as old and tired. Zero amenities. No sewer hook ups. Couldn’t walk the nature trails as we were covered with ticks when we tried. Stayed here in our 36 foot travel trailer to visit the Ark and museum. We had to drive over narrow cement bridges with no guard rails to get in and out of our site. The maintenance family there was very nice and accommodating. The bathrooms, though old, were clean. Not worth the price.

Spend the night add this RV park for it conference. Place was a mess with mud everywhere. There was a group of people that was partying all night singing at the top of their lungs. They cranked up the music at midnight and continued until four o'clock in the morning, with no intervention from the park. When I called to inform them what happened, they said it was unacceptable and that they would take care of it. They were surprised that their camp liaison did not take care of the situation. I would not be surprised if he was not involved in it. There was no refund of any sort or follow through with us. We come in the area every year and will not be coming back to this place.

We spent a few days here to see the sites…Kentucky Horse Park, The Ark Encounter and we also were able to take in some horse racing. This park is set back and nestled in a quiet woodsy atmosphere. The new owner is doing many improvements and repairs. We were quite comfortable and very happy with the site AND the staff!

This is a beautiful, quiet campground! There is a little stream that runs through the camp sites, and many picturesque hiking trails. All the sites are surrounded by trees in this peaceful hide away! The owners are very helpful, kind, and take great care of their property. Lord willing, we will definitely be visiting again!

We enjoyed our rustic cabin off season camping experience. Unfortunately it rained multiple times throughout our visit and our walkway from the cabin to the bathhouse got muddy pretty quickly. Definitely would recommend adding some gravel so it doesn’t get as muddy. Bathhouse was clean and appeared recently updated. Easy access to 75 and a short distance to gas stations or Dollar General. The heating element in the cabin worked well and kept us cozy. Having the single use coffee pot, microwave and dishes available to use was very handy. Location to tourist attractions is reasonable with almost an hour north or south to popular cities. If you needed to contact the owner provided their business number for easy access as well as onsite camp host. Overall, we had a great time

The owners and staff were the most helpful and kind from my booking process all the way through my stay and even as I was leaving Chris wished me & my family well. What a fantastic stay. We cannot wait to go back.

Apparently there are new owners here and it was a horrible experience. Do not stay here. I am an avid RV Camper and this was the worst campground I've ever stayed at. Just received a response to my review. Excuses and blaming me is what I would expect. How about a refund for the day I didn't stay because I left early?

While traveling south for the winter, we were flagged down and told we'd lost a wheel on our RV. Three Springs was the closest campground open with available sites. The owners told us where to find parts to make the repair. After securing a new wheel, tire, and lug nuts, we were able to continue two days later. They offered to assist if we needed any help and stopped often to check on us. Their kindness and concern were much appreciated. Yes, the access road is narrow and winding, but if careful, there is no problem getting to the campground. We will be back.

The entrance into the campground was a little sketchy; the only way in is by a small two lane road which has a very steep grade entering the grounds. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when arriving as the gentleman escorted us to our site. The single three stall bathroom/bathhouse, however, was insufficient for the size of the campground. Also, the facilities smelled like cigarette smoke and was consistently ill maintained, periodically dirty and with limited paper supplies. This is crucial considering the fact that the place was packed with guests and is not a full hook-up campground; however, they do provide tank emptying service for a small fee. The walking bridges are desperately in need of repairs, I am sure they are not up to code. You should address all concerns during business hours as once the office closes, at 6p or 7p, depending on the day, no one is available until the next morning at 9a. Also, quiet time is at 10p and there is to be no vehicle movement after this time. As far as amenities, the creek was dry and the playground and pool were inoperable. The cabins are primitive, have glasses front doors, no curtains, and no running water. The wifi is free, however, it is only accessible at the office, it does not reach the sites. Overall, it's a nice place to stay, but only for a short while, and only if you do not need luxurious amenities or handicap accessibility.

Great place. Road in is a little different but once in. Love the site. Just hope I don't run in to anyone on my way out. Super people running the place. Very helpful. Will consider coming back, just when it's a little cooler.
