Last minute plans to come to Yellowstone July 7-9 and this campground was awesome! First come first serve and was practically empty. Campsites right along the Shoshone river. Pahatose Lodge/restaurant 1 mile towards Yellowstone entrance was awesome too; Buffalo Bills Hunting lodge. Best kept secret, campsite and lodge.

Wilderness alongside the N. Fork of the Shoshone just outside east entrance to Yellowstone NP. 20 or so campsites, many pull thru, can't see much of one from another thru the trees. Didn't use the 2 vault toilets but looked newer. WATCH OCT FOR BEARS 🐻

Beautiful, secluded, and quiet at night. Some road noise morning and evening. Bears are present! Only hardsided campers. Closed in winter. Great access to Eastern gate of Yellowstone.

Great quiet place!

The name explains itself, 3 miles from the east entrance to Yellowstone. This campground is hard sited only, no tents. But it is a ways off the road, down a hill, and is heavily forested. It is the nicest campground in all of Shoshone National Forest.

Three Miles outside of the east gate to Yellowstone. Quiet and beautiful park. Nice to be here out of the crowds at Yellowstone.

What a wonderful, quite, peaceful place, wrapped by a quite stream of water to be just 3 miles from Yellowstone's East gate!!! No cell service, no RV dump, no electric hookups, fresh water from a pump, trees at every site, well maintained gravel roads, nearest gas station 28 miles away, grocery store a mile away, fantastic Host.

Lovely spot with trails across the road at the horse camp if you dare in grizzly country. Still...it takes over an hour to get to the main part of Yellowstone at 45 mph on curvy mountain roads...

Perfect no frills spot. Although close to highway the spots by the river cover all road noise. Good local hiking as well starting from the trailhead just across the road.
