We stayed here for the Halloween weekend. Booked a specific site on campspot.com and paid for the site lock so we could make sure to get the site we wanted, upon arrival we were told that the site we wanted was a monthly site and that they couldn't put us there, but they put us in a large FHU site within walking distance of the showers. The campground was having their end of the season Halloween party, kids were running around trick or treating as we were setting up. There was a band in the clubhouse and the campground was nicely decorated for the season. The site wasn't perfectly level but we were able to level the camper just fine, I think a lot of the reviews are people who don't know how to level a trailer. You're not going to find perfectly level sites everywhere, that's what leveling blocks are for. They do a good job of creating parking pads that are decently level, some were gravel, some were grass, some were concrete. Some of the sites had fire rings some didn't. The showers are kind of small and the water takes a long time to warm up, but is decently warm once it does and there's no smell. The shower stalls need hooks to hang up clothes and towels, I had to hang everything over the partition and risk someone taking my stuff. A bench to sit on and dry feet would be nice as it is difficult to put on shoes if you're not wearing sandals. The sink was clogged and full of bugs. The toilet worked fine. The pond was scummy and needed a fountain to help with aeration. Overall, we had a nice time, the staff was nice, and we would definitely come back.

This campground has a lot of problems. Paid approximatly $60 for our water/electric site and the site was EXTREMELY uneven. There was no picnic table or designated fire area. One other camper came to camp at the site next to us and saw how uneven it was and left. Also site is not paved or even have gravel and everything is hard to find since almost nothing is well marked. The pool and pool area was not very nice looking, but seems pretty clean. Their were lots of no smoking signs in the pool area, but still several people smoking and drinking alcohol around kids and others. The mini-golf is free and for good reason. It is essentially unplayable because it is in such disrepair. One upside was the employees seemed nice and the patrons were friendly. The pond is hard to fish at if you are trying to fish from the shore and not a boat.

While there I was able to get to work, enjoy some beautiful storms, and find myself at ease. Thank you for taking care of me, and letting me fall into the pool. I grew while enjoying the woods. Bought a new truck, and built my goals up into something new. See ya on the next one 🤙🏼🫡🤘🏼🖤💲

I stayed in a primitive campsite that was right by the water for one night as I passed thru Illinois. This was an unexpected delight just off the interstate. Clean and updated restrooms. Walking around, the sites for RVs seemed nicely spaced and level. There are also cute cabins available as well. The staff was friendly and helped with getting firewood and navigating to my site. Worth a stop if you are passing through.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS Pictures on website are catfished! I looked around the whole site trying to find where they took these pictures!! False advertisement This place is very run down, a group of us went over Memorial Day weekend because it was the only place left open to book and it is VERY CLEAR why. Let’s start with the bathrooms, I understand majority of campers are in actual campers so they have water hook up to use bathroom. There were 2 working women’s toilets throughout the ENTIRE site. The other bathrooms were locked from use. Every night the bathrooms got vandalized and toilet paper was shoved in them. We saw ZERO staff on site. Every activity or amenity that was offered was broken or closed. Pond- filthy, litter everywhere. Pool- closed because it was too cold although it was 75 degrees Mini putt- looks like it has been abandoned for 10 years see pictures below. Closed Basketball- both of the backboards had huge holes in them and shatters so every time you shot the ball it would go through. Bathrooms- 2 working women’s toilets, 1 men toilet. Vandalized dirty. Soap dispensers in women’s broken, hand dryers broken, no paper towels. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. DO NOT GO. We made the best of it because WE HAD TO. The best time was spent at the site with our friends. Wish we captured photos of everything. AVOID PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!! Not sure how their reviews are the way they are!! Look on yelp tho.
