When we got to Timothy Lake North there was a sign saying you had to go back to Timothy Lake South to register ( we missed the small print on the sign at Timothy Lake South). We spoke to a camper at North and she said it was the strangest situation, everything was locked and there was no camp personnel ( we did see someone driving around in a golf cart ). Bottom line, don't believe any of the pictures you see on the website, the only thing there is some playground equipment. Most of the permanent sites are run down and not maintained . We heard there was a fire over a year ago and the pool hasn't been open in at least 5 years. Don't waste your time on this one. We ended up cancelling our reservation and going down to Timothy Lake South. That was better but still had issues.

Timmothy Lake North is rundown. RV sites are not maintained. There is trash and glass on my site and based on the appearance of other sites, I assume those sites are in the same condition. The website for this campground shows a camp store that is well stocked, however when you arrive, you'll find that the camp stores is permanently closed. You can travel a mile down the road to the south site to use that store, but it is basically a closet. No camping gear, drinks, food etc. save your money and stay somewhere else.

Stayed in south but came to north repeatedly for the Pool which the kids loved! It’s a beautiful property we could see staff working on things there while we were there over a three week period would love to come back to the area and see if north is a fully functional campground someday if we weren’t members I would not want to stay at north for more then ten dollars nightly currently which would be a fair price. It’s not horrible at 10 nightly it has no gate and no on site staff members would love to see some workcampers staying there and a gate or a security guard if we were to stay there

Looks like no one takes good care of this place

The campground was run down but very friendly maintenance people were working steadily to rejuvenate the campground. The main bad issues were/are people not keeping dogs out of the pool area and extremely loud music from certain campsites. The in house karaoke guy likes to practice his hobby at all hours, in spite of rangers warnings. Some dog owners feel their pooch should be universally adored and allow their dogs to roam free dragging the leash because "technically they are on a leash". I would not recommend adding this location to your itinerary unless you love strangers dogs in your face, enjoy dog hair in the pool area and listening to crazy loud music instead of hearing campground sounds of birds and such. It promises to be anything but relaxing!
