Yer basic Thousand Trails campground. No problems with this one. 😁 Lots of beautiful trees in the fall. (well the trees are always there, but they have nice color in autumn. 🍂 🍁 🍂 ) Plenty of good RV sites. The majority seem to be occupied by annual/ permanent residence. I believe all the sites are full hook up with water, sewer, and electricity. Staff were helpful and friendly. Roads are paved with potholes, RV sites are gravel. Pool is only open June - August. Restrooms were clean and decent. Cell signal 📶 with ATT was weak. No decent WiFi - bring your own Starlink. Noise was minimal in October 2025. Neighbors were absent or quiet. You’re a mile or two from the main roadway. It’s a windy trip into town and stores. Not close, but not too far.

Potholes throughout the park, one bathhouse closed with no explanation (a screw lodged in between edge of mens and womens door to prevent entry. Second bathhouse in serious need of repair: flooring in dire need of being repainted, caulking around base of commode looked real nasty, soap dispenser empty for more than 2 weeks, a front door that wouldn't close, letting in mosquitoes, no paper towels dispenser (only a wall mounted hand dryer), a single bathroom stall, with missing wall tile, no ventilation, so you start sweating after you dry off after your shower. One of the 2 shower stalls had a door that barely opened to get inside. The second shower stall was jokingly labeled as handicapped, had a rusted out shower caddy, a filthy soap receptacle, and removable shower head too high to reach fr anyone in a wheelchair, no grab bars ( 2 are recommended), and no seat or bench, inside. One camper told me that the owners are only interested in profit, and let everything run down. To make matters worse, I was assigned to n RV pad, so difficult to back in, that it took me almost 30 minute, only to find out there was no city water hookup. I was then reassigned to another site with a faulty water spigot that I had to contact AJ, the maintenance man, to help me turn it on. He was apparently a new hire with little experience, although he did figure it out. Overall, a very bad experience, after being very tired after a long drive to get to the Park, getting later and later towards sunset, unavoidable, because Scotrun was booked up, which is always in much better shape. Camping here this week, but little to no improvements made. I've been back 4 times since this writing, abd I haven't seen any improvements.

We had a great stay at Timothy Lake South in our travel trailer. Our site was clean and level. We had a full hook up sites and hook-ups worked great. The shower house was sparkling clean and the showers were powerful and hot. There is so much to explore in this area! We will definitely be back.

Timothy Lake South remains one of my favorite getaways. The campground is surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful escape while still being conveniently close to all the attractions in the Poconos. While I’m not a fan of the assigned site policy, I truly appreciate the staff’s flexibility and willingness to help me find a good spot among the limited number of member sites now available. Their effort to accommodate has made all the difference and has made my recent stays at the campground very enjoyable. Thank you.
