Cute place. David was so kind and helpful with all of my questions! Enjoyed the food at the restaurant as well as the souvenir options in the gift shop. Definitely recommend this place! Just bring a heated blanket as the cabin takes a little bit to warm up. 🙂

Well while moving a family member to Inuvik we stoped here for lunch . Swans in the lake pretty place . Walk in not a great first impression. There were signs all over the place that gave me the impression the owner was a cheap tight wad lol whom ever owned it managed it. Signs everywhere you break it you bought it , books you read you bought it, over priced souvenirs and food . Ordered a hamburger ,plate of fries and a Big corn beef Reuben lol Sarcasm! Tiny three thin slices ! Three tissue thin meat slices. 17$ omg I show the well dressed server and a lady working there what a Reuben sandwich looks like 1-2 inches of meat lots of sauerkraut . Well I showed him three slices of meat and one tablespoon of sauerkraut. I asked for the manager and was told he is outside go find him yourself. Wow what wonderful service. That the manger couldn’t care less or staff. The manger had instructed the cook to rip off customers and make the sandwich that way. Server told me that. Wow I have no problem giving great reviews when warranted. Watching out for other customers is always important to me. I paid 57$ For a 7$ bumper sticker lol last one I ever bought was a 1$ wow. Ripped off there too. When you cook a burger you gently squeeze it once maybe but not so much so you make it a dense hard dry as rubber burger. I worked as a cook so I know . I have good reviews for a bunch of different places along the Alaska highway. My husband said he stayed there 7 years ago in their cabins and said they were nice . On the way back I drove past them .

We stayed here on the way and on the way back from Alaska in our RV. We were lucky both times to get a pitch by the water with full service. Beautiful place to stay and very quiet and peaceful. Facilities reflect daily rate, well maintained womens washroom with 2 free showers that are spacious and lovely warm water. We also used the laundry facilities for a reasonable extra charge. Would definitely recommend

I always stay in the Lakeside Cabins at Toad River Lodge when I pass through. It is a beautiful spot! The restaurants prices are absolutely outrageous, though. If you can avoid eating there, I would. The food is good! Just way more money than it should be. That being said, my family got to watch some baby beavers do their thing, as well as a mated-for-life pair of swans. It is quiet and beautiful! I definitely recommend this place to anyone going through.

Beautiful spot to stop and recharge. I haven’t had a chance to stay in one of their rooms yet, but the property is peaceful with a lovely lake view and a cozy restaurant on-site. Over the years, prices have gone up and portion sizes have gone down but the pancakes are still a favorite. 🥞 The menu is simple, but it does the job. They’ve got a laundromat, an ATM, and offer diesel and gas Visa or cash only. Keep in mind the parking lot is dirt, so it can get muddy when it rains. Not a 24-hour operation last I checked, they close around 8 or 9 PM. Coffee and tea are available, but warning: the cups don’t have sleeves, so they’re hot to the touch. They also carry a few baked goods for a quick grab-and-go. Great for a short stop, especially if you enjoy quiet views and don’t mind the old-school setup.
