Tok River

Beautiful camping site, right on the river. Clean outhouses, and trash readily available. Would stay here again

Tok River State Recreation Site is a smaller public campground around 5 miles south of Tok. This campground offers dry camping only but there are clean vault facilities available. Great for a one night stop over

5 miles east of Tok close to the highway. Clean. Nice spot to overnight on your way on the Alcan. Close to highway so there is some traffic noise. Tok River flows right next to camp sites worth the $20 for an intermediate stop

Easy access off the main highway, but that means lots of traffic noise. Nice river access, might be a good place to float from. Little short hiking area (enough for pet relief). Short distance to Tok.

Nice camping spot with 2 restrooms and a nice walking path near the river.

Nice campground near the river. We were here in July 2025, didn’t have any problems with finding a spot for our RV It’s 18$ per night, no hook ups.

A small camp area along the river. Quite close to the highway, but vehicle traffic died down so did not disrupt sleep. $20 US for dry camping - it’s a good option compared to close to $47 in town for electric only.

Fantastic State Park. It is currently June 23rd of 2025. Be very careful of how fast the river is flowing and erosion be very very cautious around the river. The campground is great.

Nice campground. Stopped to tie some stuff down in late September. Quit, 3 campers.

Good for an overnight. Pull through spaces are nice for a big rig. The area could use a little clean up and tree/bush trimming.

Site map at park entrance is out of date. We stayed 1 night at site 23 which is the first pull thru site as you come around the one way loop to the five pull thru sites. It is near the ALCAN so u do hear truck noise. Rest of park was full. Lucky we needed a long site and this was the last one available!

The sites are close together and the pull through sites do not have anything in-between them. It was clean but the road noise might bother some. Not typical of Northern parks in AK. Most parks have some privacy between sites. Busy midweek.

Love this campground right on the Tok. It is mostly empty with tent sites right on the Tok River and a lot of pull-in sites for campers. Each site has a picnic table and a place for a fire. There are clean outhouses. The site is $18 a night. They do accept checks if the check is from the United States. Ot is a few miles outside the small town of Tok, which has a few small restaurants, several gas stations, and a grocery store (as well as other in-town camping options if you need a shower).
