Tolman Bridge Recreation Area

Great place but honestly needs management for people using the area at the river. A lot of people participating in illegal fishing practices and there's a lot of people using the boat launch as fishing and playing making it very difficult to actually get your boat in or out without risking someone getting hurt. Otherwise location is good, bathrooms clean, nice place to visit or camp.

Fantastic place to camp! The spots are quiet and have plenty of trees to help with the hot summer sun. There is a great spot to drift in the river and it was never too busy feeling. Each spot has a nice fire-pit with a grill top for cooking and a picnic bench. The washrooms are basic but they do have some accessible stalls. However most of the campground (such as the path to the water) is not easily accessible for folks with mobility aids. Would visit again in a heartbeat!

Really nice walk-in campsite with clean spacious and grassy sites perfect for tenting. Right along the banks of the river, it is an excellent spot to launch rafts into the water or to do some river fishing. The sites are also surrounded by trees making it cool even in the heat of summer

Probobly my favourite camping trip this summer. Toleman itself doesn't have a lot of things to do, but the neighbouring dry island has some water access, and really great hikes. I loved the peace and quiet of this campground though. The lack of cell service, and such. It's just a great way to disconnect for a bit. The sites are pretty tidy, and secluded.

Clean washrooms. Nice shaded spots. Large trees. No swimming spot.

Researching the fishing area . Need to find a friend with a jet boat but shore fishing looks very doable.

It is a really nice and clean campground. However, the camp sites are kind of small; I could not imagine trying to fit a large unit into any of the sites but the group site. The outhouses are quite nice as far as outsides go, but there is no lighting so make sure you bring a lantern with you. The price is reasonable but would be nicer if wood was included. One note! If you are planning to hike or walk the trails, make sure it's no going to rain. The ground is clay and becomes extremely slippery when wet. We found out the hard way how slippery it can be.
