Just visited this place this month, for the first time ever. I really enjoyed myself & it's a great place for what your paying & asking for. The people in the office were great! Our site had elec., cable, water, & sewer. It was close to where we wanted to be. Didn't have a fire ring, but we could still have a fire on our site. Close to everything in town. Bathrooms were clean & ok, nothing fancy. Loved the walk to the dock & the views at night. If your expecting Sun Outdoors, this isn't for you, it isn't corporate.

This place was great!! Very friendly and helpful staff, we tent camped over night, great site, electric and water glad we had it and bathrooms were clean, great docks and beautiful morning scenery, campground was packed with campers and great people, our neighbors even offered us an adapter for electric, and walking around everyone said good morning. Overall a great experience we are definitely coming back.

I Called ahead of time to make a reservation, the lady I spoke with was polite. I told the her I wanted to stay for 1 night and wanted to make a reservation. She informed me that I did not need a reservation and can pay for the site the day of. Once I arrived to check in, the gentleman at front office was rude and refused to give us any tent space for 1 night. He said they were only allowing 3 night stay minimum. If I would have been told this beforehand I would understand. However I drove out there with intentions to stay here. Luckily we found another campground nearby that allowed a 1 night stay.

Front desk was rude and not helpful. Made up rules to suit them. Was told no reserved spots but we spoke to others who have the same spot every year. Was not allowed to move spaces even though the campers on each side were encroaching on our space. Bath house was unsanitary. Overall bad choice. Many disgrunteled campers this year. We used to love it there.

We go every year for many years. Great people. Great place for riding bikes or golf carts that can go everywhere on the island. Fishing is good. Nice pool. Can usually see the wild ponies most mornings across the bay. Good food options nearby.
