Not too far from the Natchez Trace. A great campground to stay at if you're traveling down the Trace and need an overnight stay! Great trails for walking or hiking! Beautiful lake for fishing! Campsites have 30/50 amp electric service and water and there's a dump station at the entrance/exit of the park.

Choctaw Lake is a beautiful place with a 3 mile walking path allaround the lake. I love going there with my doggies. I have only used it during day time, but the camping areas seem great and well maintained! Highly recommend visiting this park nestled in the Tombigbee forest. It's about 30 min drive from Starkville heading towards Sturgis and the you take the US 12 from Ackerman.

Great place to camp or just get away for the day and very affordable! Bathrooms and showers around the lake, multiple walking trails and pet friendly! I love it every time I go and it’s really clean!

Very peaceful. Good roads going in. We took the bike out on a little day trip. Very clean and well kept. The west side of the lake (from hwy 15 side) is paved. All other entry points are gravel.

Only came for the trails which are quite nice. The lake loop is wide, flat gravel with wood paths over the water. Lots of restrooms and benches, plenty of shade. Limited VZW signal throughout the park but I usually had 1-2 bars of 4G.

What a beautiful lake and a great hike. We did the red trail that was connected to a white trail and then the lake. I do not advise taking your dogs on the red trail as it is a little wet in there and we did encounter wildlife that may be dangerous to your animals.

Women's bathroom shower did not work. Camp host solution was to tell my wife to shower in the mens bathroom. Internet is non-existent. Even cell phones did not work. It is pretty outside but bathrooms are full of wolf spiders and not clean. Only half the lights work. Camp loops are super narrow and completely beat up. Don't reserve anything down the 1-12 loop unless you want to replace tires. Do not recommend at all.

Great trail, nice lake, but the maintenance is stretched too thin to keep the disc golf course trimmed making the further parts unplayable.

Kids had fun but there was jelly like stuff in the water that was gross. Kids said it was where eggs were laid. 🤔 It was still gross lol

I followed sign from Natchez Trace. Nothing on sign says it's closed. Davis Lake is open so I had no doubt that this one was open. Even the check in says nothing about closed. I called security and it's been closed in winter about 15 years. Well how about sharing that before people waste time and gas getting here. The management needs to wake up. I didn't check website because no internet on the trace .

Very quiet, clean, and scenic! Many campsites have an elevated look over the lake. Great fishing and a swimming area across the pond. All sites have hookups and $20 isn't bad pricing. I would highly regiment recommend.
