Nice park with beautiful grounds. Great place to enjoy the outdoors with the family or get that much needed alone time with mother nature. Its definitely a privilege to live close by!

Hiked the Bigfoot trail & also visited the almost heaven swing. Little over an hour drive from my house and well worth the day we spent hanging out and exploring. Not a huge lake, but beautiful nonetheless. We saw people fishing. Was a very calm and friendly atmosphere.

Did a little spontaneous road trip here from NE Ohio in search of the West Virginia swings. This was 1 of the 2 we found today, and they are not easy to find! So, I wanted to share where you can find the swing at this state park. If it wasn't for the kind woman at the paddle boat rentals, we may have never found it (no cell phone signal to search). The swing is located a short walk on the Jody Hulka trail. You want to park by the playground and mini golf parking lot. The Jody Hulka trail runs right along the mini golf course. After parking, you want to follow the trail left, right along the mini golf course fence. Follow that trail for probably 1/8 of a mile along the creek. You will see a stone tower, and it will be right next to that. I love that West Virginia has these. Brilliant marketing. I want to find them all now!
