Topsail Hill Preserve
Overview
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, often referred to as the Gregory E. Moore RV Resort, offers a premier camping experience on Florida’s Emerald Coast. This park is widely regarded as one of the most developed state parks in the country, blending the beauty of a protected nature preserve with the conveniences of a high-end resort. Visitors are treated to a landscape of towering white quartz dunes and rare coastal dune lakes, creating a serene environment that feels worlds away from the bustling tourist corridors of the Panhandle.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, the park occupies a stunning stretch of land along the Gulf of Mexico. Its namesake comes from its soaring sand dunes, which resemble ship sails from a distance. The surrounding area is famous for its turquoise waters and rare coastal dune lakes, a biological phenomenon found in only a few places globally. This unique ecosystem provides a quiet backdrop for travelers looking to explore the natural side of Florida’s panhandle while remaining close to the famous 30A community.
Amenities & Park Features
Unlike many public campgrounds, this park features full hookup sites including water, sewer, cable TV, and 30/50-amp electricity. The park is designed to accommodate large rigs with ease, offering paved pads and spacious layouts. On-site amenities go beyond the basics, featuring a refreshing swimming pool, laundry facilities, and a seasonal tram service that shuttles guests to the beach. For those who enjoy active recreation, there are shuffleboard courts and a dedicated camp store stocked with essentials and souvenirs.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The park serves as a gateway to outdoor adventure with over 15 miles of scenic hiking and biking trails that wind through pine forests and wetlands. Anglers can enjoy fishing in the coastal dune lakes, while beachgoers can spend hours on the secluded three-mile shoreline. Just outside the park gates, visitors can explore the upscale boutiques and eateries of 30A coastal villages or take a short drive to Destin for deep-sea fishing charters and high-end shopping at the Silver Sands Premium Outlets.
Who This Park Is Best For
Topsail Hill is ideal for RVers who want the tranquility of a state park without sacrificing modern resort comforts. It is a fantastic choice for families who appreciate organized activities and safe, paved paths for biking. Nature enthusiasts will find the biodiversity of the preserve fascinating, while big-rig owners will appreciate the accessibility and utility of the sites. It caters perfectly to those seeking a long-term winter retreat or a quiet summer beach vacation in a pristine natural setting.

Beautiful park and areas. Our site, 59, was a bit difficult to back into due to trees. Coffee shop Cafe had great food options. Loved taking the tram to the beach. Also rode our bikes there as well.

Wow, this is the most beautiful Florida State Park I have ever been at. Beautiful beach with snow white sand. The park is nestled in beautiful pine trees and palmetto. The suites are private and large enough for a 43 foot toyhauler. If you walk your dogs in the woods, stay on the trails and make sure to check them for ticks. Definitely a park to visit. We will be back for sure.

We absolutely love coming to Topsail State Park! We only live about 40 minutes away but its always a good time and good excuse to play tourist! We love bringing out golf cart and cruising to 30A and of course walking our three doggies. We also love walking to the beach park here. Such a nice getaway!! Highly recommend if your looking for a nice clean park! Also everyone has always been so very friendly here!

We had a mobile home and it was a wonderful stay. The kitchen was well equipped, it was a nice quiet place. The beach was beautiful, the café was awesome. Bikes were fun. An all around good time!

We’ve stayed here twice—once in a camper and then last week in a tent. Both are good, but the tent sites are exceptional: fine gravel pads, clothes lines for towels and such, beautiful natural feel, and close proximity to restrooms and showers. The beach, too, is great. Especially for kids, kayaks, and paddle boards. If you are into shelling you’ll want to visit some other beaches further to the east as SoWal beaches have next to no shells. While there we saw bald eagles, a gator, pods of dolphins, and a couple small sharks. The beach itself is pristine and separate from the glut of development that comprises much of 30A. .
