I could not believe my little small town had such an amazing campground! There are 2 small sized Yurts/ with air conditioning. Plenty of RV parking! The best part is a campground building that has washer's and dryers, bathrooms and showers. There is also WiFi available. Very clean and quiet

We've been on the road for about 50 days now and called the campground to get a reservation. Faye took our information and said we would be charged when we arrived later that day. The campground is large and the sites are spaced far apart. Be aware that it is a dirt road off of the paved road to get into the campground. The dirt road is well-maintained and poses no problems. Faye checked us in and gave us the senior discount rate. The campground signs are a little confusing, so drive all the way to the end of the campground to get to the office and store. We would definitely camp at this location again!

The Heritage Center is a very interesting little museum about the history of the Altamaha River.

This is a lovely place, I’m reluctant to review it because I feel like it’s my own little hide-out. Absolutely beautiful and quiet. Can’t wait to go back.

Full transparency - my wife and I are hosts at Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center. We're full time RVers and Towns Bluff is a park we will visit again. It's a quiet peaceful park with a great boat ramp on the Altamaha River. 25 large pull through sites with various hook ups in a tall pine forest plus a primitive area both with bath houses and hot showers. Certainly no hunting in the park but many hunters use the campground as a base camp during deer season. Heritage Center is a well done project by local historians. Lots of local items and information about the area, river and past inhabitants. Talks and tours in the summer. Come for an afternoon or a week, you won't be disappointed.

This was our first visit. If your looking for a quiet escape this is a great choice. We needed something last minute because everything within 3 hours was booked. A friend suggested Towns Bluff and I'm glad he did. The prices were great, the staff was super friendly, the comfort station was clean and updated and the sites are well spaced. Sites have 50/30/20 amp service with water but no sewer and the are fairly level. The only down side was the debris on the sites and the standing water after it rained. To be honest, some spots looked like they stay wet. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away or just a quick overnight stay, this is the place for you in the area. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful views and I love the raised wooden pathways into the surrounding woods. One of my dad's favorite places. Great boat ramp and great access to the Altamaha River. Say Hey to my dad if you see him!

SUP / Camping Adventure on the Altamaha River started out camping in tents, yurts, a pull behind camper and rented at RV for the weekend. This place is a hidden gem in South Georgia. The prices are amazing low and the park is cleaner than so many we have stayed in. I highly recommend this place and we will for sure be back soon to float the river and eat at Benton's Lees Steak House just 8 miles down stream with a minimum float time of 2.5 hours with the water levels at 78 feet.
