Awesome nice and tidy campground. They have e-bike rentals at an affordable price. Also they have a nice camp store/gas station. If you like it more quiet, I would chose koa Townsend over the hustle and bustle of pigeon forge or gatlinburg. I loved my stay at the koa!

Super clean campground. 10 out of 10. Staff was great. Bathrooms were super clean. They offer a septic tank emptying service if you have a camp spot with no hookup. Cheap and easy. My kids played on the playground and basketball goal. They had a bounce house one day. The river that runs beside the campground was gorgeous and fun to play in. We will be back.

KOA Townsend, TN is close to anything you want but away from all the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The park has a lot for the kids to do-wade the river, new playground, ride bikes, close to hiking, Cades Cove. Staff is excellent and professional. Everything is updated and clean. Our family had a lot of fun and would love to return. Highly recommend for a family vacation.

We stayed at a 30amp back in site and it was great! Beautiful location and the kids enjoyed going down to the river. The entire place is well maintained by people who truly care and it shows!

We had an amazing stay at the KOA in Townsend. Our cabin by the river was perfect. It was clean, peaceful, and a great place to relax. One of the highlights was seeing a mink along the river. I had never seen one before, so that was a really cool experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole campground had a laid-back, family-friendly vibe. I also really enjoyed the Sunday morning church service. It was a thoughtful and meaningful way to start the day. I highly recommend this KOA to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. We will definitely be back.

Third time here over the years. Always has been nice. We have a motor home and our site was pleasant. Spent 5 nights. Thanks for being so helpful and the helpers running around on golf carts working there were so NICE too. Will be back again.

Good campground. The grounds are well maintained and has some amenities. Like a, pool, bathrooms with shower, a convenience store near the front entrance, park for kids. Overall good place 👍

First and last visit. Campsites on top of each other. While the very old and tall trees may be pretty, they are also a hazard if not kept up. My experience, you guessed it. Branch came down and put a 6x12 hole in my new camper. They took the report. Their insurance even called asking for a estimate and gave me a claim #. Got them the estimate and they got back with me after prodding. “After investigation we are denying your claim, please contact your personal insurance carrier” Stay at your own risk- these old trees are NOT maintained. The employees there let me know they have a half dozen of these every year

We stayed in the Trout Stream cabin mid March. It is very comfortable and cozy. We were very warm with the space heater . The restrooms were clean. We could hear the soothing sounds of the river everywhere in the campground .

The best place I’ve ever camped so far! We rented a little cabin for the 3 day weekend, it was right by the river which made it even more peaceful and enjoyable! The cabin is very spacious, because the cabin is river front we could barely hear any cars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice fenced area for dogs to run around which I loved since I have a pup that comes with me camping. I can’t wait to stay at this KOA again! Such an amazing experience
