One of the best campgrounds on the gunflint trail! Each site has a great location on the water parched above for amazing views. Plenty of beautiful hikes and lakes to explore in the area. The star gazing is top tier. The trash and bathroom areas are well maintained. Like most campsites on the gunflint trail - no cell service and very remote locations for the perfect getaway from everyday busy life.

Gorgeous primitive campsites, most overlooking the lake. Our campsite #5 was a little close to #6, but our neighbors were friendly.

Great camp ground! Super quiet with amazing views. Definitely a rustic campground, but the potable water was great and always nice and cool. From our site you could hear the rapids and that was amazing to listen to at night.

Outstanding sites for tenting and small campers. Perfect dark skies for stargazing and you can cast for walleye right from some of the sites. We saw moose, fox, and beautiful scenery on the drive up the gunflint trail; worth visiting the nearby museum and nature center!

While, of course, anyone reading this would have no reason to trust me, I can say that after having camped at maybe hundreds of campsites in my life, this campground contains some of the best I have ever camped in. I almost hope no one sees this because I don't want people to know how great it is. All I can ask is that if you enjoy the wonder of the outdoors like I do, please come camp with us and contribute to the QUIET. And please remove all your trash. It's funny that I am referring to campsites when checking 5 stars for "rooms."

Cool place way up in the woods. Had never been there. No one was there so we were able to take cool pictures.

The cleanest well water I have ever tasted. Amazing views. I cannot wait for next year.

About as far from civilization in Minnesota as you will get! Lovely wild landscape.

I absolutely recommend this campground! The sites aren’t too close together but they do have sites specifically for two parties to camp next to each other. We stayed at #12 site and across from us was a trail leading to a perfect swim area. They also have 2 boat landings which are perfect for canoes, and kayaks. There was two beautiful waterfalls with a pathway leading from the road to it. There’s a small museum just down the road which was very interesting and had lots of information about the area. This museum also has trails to hike on. Overall I highly recommend Trails End because of its secluded area. We will be back again! :)
