Very nice campground with large site's. Easy to get in 4.5 miles off or rt 13. I wish the sites were a little more level then they are, but I've seen worse. The restrooms were decent with hot showers. The pond is large great for kayaking. Great hiking and Frisbee golf course. The dump stations were clean with plenty of room. I recommend camping here.

This campground has a nice camp office/store. Roads in the campground aren’t paved - gravel. Restrooms are pretty well kept and are cleaned every day. A nice playground and pavilion with picnic tables are provided and are very clean. Campsites are large and come with electricity and water. Extra bonus of super cute and friendly squirrels that try to steal your food 🥰

This place is a hidden gem. A beautiful and well kept state park that offers lots of activities for visitors. The main attraction is the rather large campground. Beautifully maintained campsites offer a clean but slightly more "rustic" camping experience while offering several planned activities for visitors and boat rentals during the summer months. We live nearby but still take the opportunity to camp here very often! We just finished a 3 day stay in one of our favorite winter getaways, the camping cabins. The cabins offer heating and cooling for all season comfort, electricity, as well as a mini fridge. There are bikes you can borrow to cruise around the park and explore all the beauty and wildlife Trap Pond has to offer. Truly an amazing family friendly and affordable park with phenomenal staff to help with anything you may need.

Trap pond is located on a beautiful Bald Cypress lake. There was a small soft launch and pier at the end of the campground loop, and I was able to go kayaking several times. The kayaking was beautiful, especially near the western end of the pond where you can paddle amongst the Cypress trees. We camped there during the week when the park was mostly empty. The campsites are situated quite close together and as the park filled towards the weekend I felt it would be overly congested when full. The natural beauty of the pond was offset by the noisy envorinment. Gas leaf blowers were used regularly around the campground to clear the pine needlas from the paths and around the bathroom facilities. Also the dumpsters were emptied at 07:00am and it sounded like they were banging each dumpster multiple times to shake out the contents. There was also some kind of event in the day use area with a firetruck driving around and around with sirens blaring and honking the horn for over an hour. I know this sounds petty, but many people go camping to enjoy the serenity of nature. My campsite (B15) had a low point right where the RV steps are, with a muddy patch about 15 ft in diameter. I had to gather pine needles to spread out on the mud so it wouldn't stick to my shoes. The campsite was located at the end of the loop and was only a short walk to the kayak launch which was nice. The campground was well maintained. There are some large trees which can make maneuvering your rig into the space a bit challenging. There is a very nice network of multipurpose trails and beautiful country roads to enjoy bicycling. Overall the park is very well maintained, and all the rangers and staff were very friendly.

A really great camping experience. Very affordable and well worth every dollar spent. The campground offers free bike rental. There's wood and ice to buy on site, as well as a little store for any souvenirs or forgotten necessities. The facilities are well maintained. There's also a playground and pavilion. There's another playground across the pond too. Not sure of the schedule but when I was there, there was a Rita's Italian ice truck set up next to the kayak rental.

We have been camping at Trap Pond several times now. It's a beautiful park. The park is kept clean from litter and has a number of things to do. The trails are lovely and easy to find and follow. We love the park by the pond itself, which has many picnic tables and shelters, a small nature center, bathrooms and boat rental where you can rent paddle boats, canoes, kayaks or paddle boards for a small, per hour fee. Be aware however that later in the season the boat rental hours are very limited and stop around 1:30pm. The Cypress swamp and boating is phenomenal and exactly why we keep going back. As far as the campground, the campground is clean and the sites are spacious and wooded. Our little pop up actually looked a little silly with how much space we had but that's nothing to complain about! Be aware that like many campgrounds, if you get a site on the "inside" of the loop, your site will back up to another one, with very little privacy between. Also if you get a site next to the bathroom on the laundry side, the lights from the laundry are VERY bright if you have a tent or pop up camper. The bathrooms are clean and have flush toilets and showers. They're also heated. My biggest complaint (and this only applies to our most recent trip) is that at times, quiet hours are not enforced, although they have rules posted explicitly noting the hours. Multiple nights we were kept up with our toddler until 1 or 2am by groups partying in the inner loops, and we ended up leaving a night early. If you're not familiar, you may want to be aware that the weekends around Halloween seem to be a big party weekend at Trap campground. Otherwise, excellent park, clean facilities, and definitely worth a visit!

Visited with my family and friends last weekend, and had a wonderful time. It's such a beautiful park, and everyone was so nice. We were on loop B and were one of very few camping in tents. Because of this though, the restrooms and showers were always free, and very clean. We did the pontoon boat tour which was fun, as was the kayaking, and the swamp part of the pond is absolutely beautiful. The children loved the playground, free arts and crafts, and the free bikes. Will definitely be returning.

Trap Pond is my favorite place to camp. It's kid and dog friendly. Campers are kind & thoughtful. Cabins are too far from parking lot.

One of my favorite places to camp or hike on the Eastern Shore. It’s a large portion of what was once the Great Cypress Swamp of Delmarva which has mostly been destroyed. Good canoeing/kayaking, hiking, and camping location.
