Trapper Creek Inn & RV Park

Overview

Trapper Creek Inn & RV Park serves as a welcoming gateway for travelers exploring the expansive landscapes of Southcentral Alaska. Located at the intersection of the Parks Highway and Petersville Road, this rustic Alaskan stopover provides a practical and reliable home base for those transiting between Anchorage and the Denali region. It successfully combines a traditional inn with a functional RV park, catering to a diverse range of explorers seeking a comfortable resting spot.

Situated in the heart of the Susitna Valley, the park is surrounded by dense forests and the rugged beauty of the Alaskan interior. On clear days, the property offers glimpses of the towering Alaska Range. Its location is strategically positioned for visitors wanting to escape the more crowded tourist hubs while remaining close to major transportation routes. The atmosphere is quiet and unpretentious, reflecting the slow pace of life in Trapper Creek.

The nearby Petersville Road offers access to historic gold mining areas and vast trail systems perfect for off-road adventures. Just a short drive north, Denali State Park provides incredible opportunities for hiking around Byers Lake and world-class wildlife photography. Fishing in the Susitna River and its many tributaries is another popular pastime for visitors staying in the area during the vibrant summer months.

Easy enough RV park. Spots are nice and services work with supplies nearby. It's not a resort, but after a long day driving it's an easy stop for a night.
