Tri State Raceway & RV Park
Overview
Tri State Raceway & RV Park offers a unique blend of rural Iowa charm and high-octane excitement. Located in Earlville, this destination is primarily known for its NHRA-sanctioned drag strip, which draws racing enthusiasts from across the Midwest. When engines aren't roaring, the park transforms into a peaceful retreat, providing a functional and spacious base for travelers exploring the scenic beauty of Delaware County. It is a place where the community of motorsports meets the hospitality of the Heartland.
Location & Surroundings
Situated just off Highway 20, the park is nestled within the rolling farmland of Eastern Iowa. The surroundings are characterized by wide-open skies and quiet country roads, offering a quintessential rural experience. While the racetrack is the centerpiece, the immediate area provides a calm atmosphere typical of small-town Iowa. Its proximity to major regional thoroughfares makes it an exceptionally convenient stopover for those traveling between Dubuque and Waterloo.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is designed to accommodate a variety of setups, ranging from vintage campers to massive motorhomes. Many of the sites feature 50-amp full hookups, ensuring that guests have all the modern conveniences required for a comfortable stay. The layout is intentionally open, providing excellent big-rig accessibility and easy maneuvering for those towing trailers. On-site facilities include basic restrooms and shower houses, which are maintained to serve both the racing crowds and overnight travelers looking for a reliable place to rest.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Beyond the excitement of the track, the park serves as a gateway to iconic Iowa landmarks. A short drive away in Dyersville, visitors can explore the Field of Dreams Movie Site or browse the extensive collections at the National Farm Toy Museum. Nature lovers will appreciate the proximity to Backbone State Park, Iowa's first state park, which offers rugged limestone bluffs and winding hiking trails. The Maquoketa River also provides opportunities for fishing and kayaking just a few miles from the campground.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is the ultimate destination for motorsports fans who want to stay right in the heart of the action during race weekends. However, it is also ideal for families and road trippers who value spacious sites and simplicity over resort-style frills. If you are looking for a friendly, no-nonsense environment that allows you to explore the history and natural beauty of Eastern Iowa, this park provides a welcoming and practical home on the road.

Really laid back track. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Bring a sun shade and a padded seat and you'll be set!

Possibly the best race track in the country 18 inch thick concrete you can run semis down the drag strip and do pulls right in front of it at the same time!
