Great campsites, very large and private. Easy hiking. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit although we went during a burn ban so we bought a propane fire pit. We got there a wee bit early and they were very nice and let us check in early. Multiple water accesses along the hiking trail. Nice boat ramp with parking for campers.

Gorgeous views, rustic campground, lots of people in day use and campground is usually full in the summer. Reserve early. Pit toilets and well pump water.

So gorgeous...cedar trees, campsites with short path to lake for kayak launching into beautiful idyllic Trillium Lake with spectacular view of Mt. Hood! Saw magestic bald eagle circling above perch in pines to survey the scene of Portlandia humanity boating below. No fires allowed but did allow propane fire? We brought wood...so no campfire. Does have pit toilets..bring TP as it does not stay stocked. Beautiful camping experience🦋🤟SH

We camped at Site 18 over a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay. A few things to note if you’re planning a trip here: Site 18 (and other similar sites) is right next to the trail that runs between the campground and the river. This trail can be used by day visitors and hence during busy weekends, you’ll hear foot traffic and conversations during the day. If you prefer more peace and quiet, consider choosing a site further away from the trail. Vault toilets were very clean and well-maintained during our stay — much better than expected. While walking around the campground, you can catch glimpses of Mt. Hood through the trees, but for a full panoramic view, head about 10 minutes on foot from Site 18 toward the outer edge of the campground. There’s a small pier by the lake with a beautiful view of the mountain — totally worth the walk. The lake area was lively and scenic, with lots of people enjoying kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. Overall, the campground was clean, well-kept, and organized. Great choice for camping. Just plan ahead if you’re going during a holiday — it gets busy!

Awesome USFS Campground. The contracted company running the campground is stellar. Sites are great with asphalt paving. We had a site that was right by the lake. Lots of room between sites. Trillium Lake is gorgeous, particularly on a sunny day with majestic Mt. Hood as a backdrop. Highly recommend.
