We stayed here for about 6 weeks; from late January through the end of February. We even had some rare snow. We had great communication with the manager, Misty, right from the beginning . She was prompt when we had questions. Upon arrival, our site had an electrical issue, but we were allowed to move to a site in which we had no electrical, water or sewer issues for our entire stay. Most of the people that are here are long term tenants. Everyone we met was friendly; it is like a small little community. The laundry facilities met our needs. The park grounds are well maintained, and clean. We were able to send mail right from the park. Walmart and Amazon made deliveries directly to our site. There is a Dollar General about 1/2 mile away from the park. I caught and released many large mouth bass in the private pond. If you want a quiet, friendly RV park, this is the one you want in San Leon, TX.

Misty is the best and most caring manager ever, and Gail is not only the sweetest but one of the hardest working people we've ever seen. Kevin will help anybody he can and will. Miss them & the friends we made so much. We lived there for over a year and cried when we had to move for a new career. A community and a true hidden gem near the Galveston Bay. All of these pics are from our back window; and as you can tell, we've had a variety of visitors. We pray you have a chance to enjoy this as much as we did.

Just a spot with hook ups. No tables or fire rings. TIGHT spaces with a lot of duck poop. Close to Johnson Space Center. Expensive laundry and only 3 showers for the whole park. Not a resort. But plan to spend half a day going to the bayou zoo. Feed the animals and spend some time at Lillies Seafood on the way back to camp.

We lived here before and loved coming back! The mgmt is nice and kind, the park is beautiful with a nice flushable pond and all the staff goes above and beyond to help!

I got to give it to Misty Branch our Manager at Tropical Gardens, she is a natural leader. Polite, courteous, respectful and charming at all times and in all situations, without being obsequious. Unfailingly courteous even when dealing with a difficult person or situation. She makes staying at Tropical Gardens a wonderful place. Thanks Misty!

We first drove into our reservation and the water was blocked by the tall grass so we asked if we can switch to another spot and Sarah was super friendly and let us move! The restroom was clean, Misty and Sarah both accommodating, pond was stocked with tons of fish, and wifi was great. I think the only negative would be there were a lot of ants but sometimes you can’t help that! Thanks for a great short stay!

With its scenic landscape and it’s beautiful variety of wildlife this destination makes it beyond any shadow of a doubt the most scenic and relaxing location on the peninsula of San Leon. It is only rivaled by its down home hospitality by the staff and the community in which surrounds you. A must see, stop and stay!!!

Beautiful, family friendly, quiet place with some very respectful people running it and within. Has a nice area for our dog to run and get exercise. And its very clean! Highly recommend this place
