Let me start by saying ID is required at check in no exceptions. They enforce the rules to the fullest. I been in a few other campgrounds were other people do what ever they wanted. Management at this place is definitely on their job. Great job great campground

Awesome experience. The staff was excellent. The location is also great. It is close to Old Town and Disney entrance. My cottage was immaculate and well appointed.

This site is perfect for whatever you are looking for! Camping, rv or vacation! The cottages are mad cute! And pet friendly! Be aware though it does sit on water so those early morning strolls you WILL find the gators out and about.

I’ve been staying here for years on the elite side no problems…this weekend stayed in site 801 which is across from site 807 807 are permanent guest. . They spend the entire day and night smoking. The smoke emits all day to our campsite and you can not enjoy breakfast lunch or dinner outside. Wife is a cancer survivor. I went to office to complain they said sorry they are allowed to smoke. They did not offer to move me to another site. Staff basically didn’t care. 95-% of the elite side was empty only about 5 guest 4 of which are permanent. Probably will never go back as a result

This place used to be not too bad to stay at. I stayed here a couple of months ago last year. It's a great spot to stay in your RV. First impressions this latest stay first off learned last minute they moved my reservation. Then day one complained to me that I parked on their terrible grass and they immediately put a warning on us. Management completely forgets pump outs. Doesn't cut the grass here. Kicks people out of the pool, creating rules on the fly for drinks. Mind you last July, they had a pool party with drinks at the pool. Everything is run down. They don't clean the mini golf course at all when I complained they acted like they had no clue. Ive also seen people have to sleep in their RVs waiting to get into their slip. That is extremely unacceptable behavior. It's not like they do any prep for the actual RV slip. This place nickel dimes you to death for everything! Mind you, last time I stayed here, my two cars were in the grass, and they again never cut it. Also charged me an insane amount for electricity. Charging $5.00 per package is outrageous!...

Tropical palms is a wonderful place to stay! The staff have always been kind and extremely accommodating with us from booking to any last minute changes! The most important part to us is how pet friendly there resort is! Our dog is our family and they have such an enjoyable place for both him and our family! All Florida trips are planned around staying at the tropical palms!!

*****Please ensure you call to make sure that you have the proper site booked so you don’t show up there last minute and find out the site is too small and you have nowhere to go.**** We booked this campsite three months ago and received a confirmation email. Yesterday we received an email that we were able to check in and what Site they were providing us. We phoned to ensure that there would be no issues coming in with a larger rig, coming around the corners etc. it’s a good thing we did As they had us in a 38 foot site and we are 43 feet long. They said they had to look for a new site and would call us back. We received an email stating we were booked (Assuming that they found us a new site). We phoned again this morning to check only to discover that they didn’t know what to do as they are fully booked. Luckily there was a cancellation at the Disney world campground and we were able to get in; however we are now paying a lot more than we wanted to. We called to have them cancel our reservation with a full refund. They agreed on the full refund however they did not offer any apologies etc. They were actually pretty nonchalant about the whole thing. This could’ve been a disaster if we couldn’t get into another campground.

I am not a negative person and not one to start drama because I hate confrontation. So I’m not writing this for that, only to warn people what to expect. However, I am super disappointed with the whole thousand trails/encore company. Our truck broke down on the way to Florida and we had to be in the area for my husbands job. We had tried to get an RV site but there was nothing so we booked a cabin here (2 hrs away from his job). We shortened our stay from 3 months to 2, paid an insane amount of money and all was good. We have been here a month already and the office called and said they did an “audit” on our account and we now owe them almost $1000 because they “accidentally” gave us the wrong rate. They were “sorry for the inconvenience.” So now we’re out 6K total to stay in a cabin that is sub par at best. We have tried multiple times to speak to a manager but they are always conveniently never around. Or they hang up on you. This park is conveniently located to Disney things but spend your money elsewhere. I am sorry to even say anything and it is not like me but the customer service and the runaround we’ve been given is not okay. It’s just not right. This is not the first time this has happened. Every time is a headache. Thousand trails is such an amazing tool for families on the road but needs a major overhaul in how it is ran. If you’re looking for great customer service, quality camping, or a good experience, this is not the place.

So this place used to be a nice place to stay. The pool was always kept nice. Some cottage trailers were private rentals by private owners and I was told they are not allowed to rent privately anymore. You have to rent from the front desk resort only, which isn't fair for the private owners. Some of the older trailers are ran down and not kept up. But they have put in a lot of new cottage trailers. They are very tropical looking and are very modern. Like cute tiny houses basically. This place is located all the way back behind Old Town. Very congested area, so be ready for crazy drivers and lots of traffic..... I stayed here at Tropical Palms many times, but this would be my last, because I'd rather just stay at a nice resort in the area for a better price, really. Shop around before you pick this place. Not worth it!
