When we arrived, around 2:30pm, there was no one around and the office was closed. A neighbor stopped by to inform us that the owners were out of town and their horses had just been seized for neglect two days before. We had already paid for our stay and had our site, so we stayed. Never did see the owners. Location is okay, you have to ride through the Spruce Creek area to get to other trails and there are signs up saying it's private. The campground looks neglected. Not mowed, manure bin overflowing. The actual layout and barns are nice, they just need to be maintained. Some of the sites are taken up by old trailers or farm equipment. The front barn has mats in the stalls, the back barn does not. Restrooms are in nice shape, clean with decent showers.

The property was very well-kept. The concierge service was great. Harold and Ron were so polite and helpful. The lodging was in great condition, clean and comfortable! I think the property is under new management after reading recent reviews which I think attributed to the great experience. Can’t wait to visit this location again.

Worst experience I have ever had. Stayed last weekend with a group but was placed separate and apart from my group. Manure wheel barrows all full, not enough of them. Organized ride that True West collected $50 for was the most disorganized ride for EVERYONE! ALL OF US WERE UNHAPPY. WORST of all is the manner in which Managers Heather and Tim have treated me. Accused me of escaping w/o paying balance when they never asked for it or charged me unbenownst to me until i left, giving me a quote for damage i did to a hitching post then not honoring the quote but DOUBLED IT. Being disrespectful, rude, treating me like a criminal. Honestly, this place is nothing but drama and chaos, if thats what you like. They are sugar sweet FAKE nice to your face. Horrible organizational and customer skills.

Very pleased with our six day stay at True West. The camp owners were absolutely amazing and wonderful. They were extremely attentive, helpful, friendly, and accommodating. I would venture to say that this campground is a “full service” campground. From checking in, to helping guests unload their horses, hay and tack into the barn, to picking out the trailer and so much more. The camp sights and grounds were very nice and well manicured. The bathhouses were extremely clean also. Tim and Heather are amazing hosts and we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Extremely thrilled with our entire experience here. This campground offers extras you do not get anywhere else. Not only did they clean out the back of our horse trailer but also unloaded tack and hay. The campground was immaculate. If you leave anything behind, they have it including propane and soft serve ice cream! You couldn't meet better folks than the owners! We will definitely be back with even more friends!
