I stayed at the "large cabin" with my two boys and we loved our stay here. The cabin has most everything you need and, if anything is lacking, you can probably get it from the communal kitchen next door. The cabin is a studio apartment with small kitchen and bathroom and fit the three of us. The cabin shower seemed to emit an odor, but it wasn't an issue after we covered the shower drain with a washcloth. I found the cabin has what we needed, but next time I'll bring coffee, a sponge and dish towel. We caught our dinner from their fish pond and the owners and their friends helped us fry it. It was the best meal we had over our vacation, in no small part due to the new friends we made. This seems like a campground where a lot of people know each other because they come back again and again. I hope to be one of them and return soon.

I rented the "Large Cabin" as I have for many years in the past. This time, the moldy smell was overpowering. Cans of air freshener bought at a local dollar store didn't help. They charge a "cleaning fee" but it's very obvious they don't clean the cabin. Nightstand had a thick layer of dust on it. The ceiling fan blades had thick dust on them as well. The ceiling fan was so unbalanced, I thought it was going to fall from the ceiling, at times. I woke up both my nights there, coughing like crazy and searching for a bottle of water. I started getting sick from my stay in the moldy cabin. Which got worse. Bugs inside the cabin, crawling up the interior walls. Great super nice people and location is great for The Tail or local mountain biking trails, etc. But, stay away from the "large cabin" it is toxic....

We just stayed here this past week. And wow! Awesome campground! Just what we needed. Great family run place, they gave us a wonderful list of some of the great things to go and see/do in the area. Which made our trip even better. Being right next to the river was a huge bonus. Hearing that all night was amazing. This was our boys first time camping and they had a blast as well. Away from the sounds of busy streets, yet close to every thing we wanted to go and see. Looking up at the stars at night was breathtaking. Plenty of fish being caught in the trout pond and the river. This is a must stop if you love camping. We will definitely be back! Kind regards, Adam & Yahaira

We have been camping for most of our lives and the owners, Joe and Carolyn, are the most gracious and warm people we have ever met. The campsite itself is quiet, free from any road sounds, and the other campers are so friendly. The restrooms are spotless and we slept soundly to the sounds of the creek next to our buckeye cabin. We cannot wait until next year, when we will definitely fish from the well-stocked small lake.
