My first time on the Elroy-Sparta Trail was back over 50 years ago on my bike trip from Chicago to Lacrosse. Back then it was more open, now it has a lot more trees along the trail. Still gorgeous (God's) country scenery along the way. My first time to the tunnel campground was back near 1990. Back then it was also very open field. The owners have since planted a lot of trees and made it look like a "miniature state park", very beautiful. I personally prefer the campsites up the hill in the back, since i do tent camping and more quiet from the RV crowd. Great service , clean and friendly staff. MY only downside for the campground is I wish they would upkeep (restart) the hiking trail on the campground premises. My downside for the bike trail is too many "cheaters" with e bikes. Also Walk through the Tunnels with no flashlight (even the long one), its more fun especially for the grand kids!

We loved this campground! It is a small , family run campground -we were immediately drawn to the grass covered sites along with beautiful towering trees above us -kindness was shown to us immediately- We had a water, electric site . We have a 32 foot class A. We had site 43 They have great ice cream and a cute little shop. We purchased 2 cute hoodies -we will definitely return - the Sparta bike trail is at the entrance of the camp- we took full advantage of that - it’s a trail filled with trees, wildlife and 3 tunnels! Liz and Shawn were the perfect hosts!! Teri and Bruce ☀️🌳

We have been going to Tunnel Trail every year for the last 6 years. We’ve stayed in the cabins and in our own tents. I love that the trail is right off the campground - super easy to get to. The people are very nice in the office too. We love the heated pool - a great way to cool off after a morning bike ride with the kiddos. Only thing we wish would change is the main bathrooms haven’t had working showers for three years. There are additional showers on the grounds but if it’s busy we end up waiting to take a shower. We just went this past weekend and the campground is looking great - trees are trimmed and people are working hard to make it nice despite the owner’s husband passing away unexpectedly this past year. Campsites are spacious, the store is stocked with any supplies you might forget and you can get your bike pass right in the office before hitting the trails. We’ll be back every year!

A fantastic campground with friendly, accommodating owner and staff. Campground is at the heart of the Sparta-Elroy trail. Large campsites and great prices for firewood, ice, and campsite.

Beautiful campground. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for bikers as it is right next to the bike trail. The grounds are so well kept. The pool is clean and warm with plenty of room to relax and read a book. Sites are generously sized with plenty of trees. They even have a store with anything you may have forgotten. Scoop ice cream for sale is another added bonus. Affordable priced for all.

Beautiful campground to spend a fall day. Nice large sites, camp store, right on the bike trail. Super quiet except for a few cows mooing across the road. Loving our stay here. Hosts very helpful for questions about places to eat and trail.

Camp ground was ok. Lots of family and kids were having a blast but everyone very respectful. Super quiet at night which I appreciated. Sites were fairly close together. Camp ground roads are very narrow and challenging for our fifth wheel. I actually closed my eyes while my hubby drove through to find out site. Right in middle of bike trail but unfortunately the trail is closed several miles in either direction so we ended up loading bikes up and going into town. Amish came selling their homemade goods which was a wonderful surprise.

Nice campground, well kept, right on the bike trail and close to the Kickapoo, bathrooms could be a little cleaner
