I have stayed here for year since I was young. I’m not sure I’ve ever had short of a warm, nature filled experience with knowledgeable staff and a really amazing trail system. If you are looking for somewhere to plan your next family get-away, I would 100% recommend Turkey Run EVERY time! ā¤ļø

We love to stay at State Park Inns, but will never stay here again. Elevator was down, pool was closed, the view from our room was the first floor roof. The room was dirty, stains on the bedspread, and a giant cockroach (water bug, whatever, front desk person who tried to downplay it when I reported it) in the bathroom that gave my daughter PTSD for the remainder of the trip. The overall feel was just very dirty and musty throughout the whole second floor walk to the stairs. The "restaurant" was terrible - everything was overcooked on the overpriced buffet, and there was a hair in my food. The absolute worst part was the rude staff. I met one nice gentleman the entire time that worked the front desk - everyone else was unfriendly, and I'm not sure they understand that an apology can go a long way. Comp a meal, give a discount, whatever - just make people that had a bad experience want to give it another try. Nope - loved the trails but I'll be driving to the park in the future from somewhere else - it's not worth the convenience of staying someplace I don't feel valued as a guest. It's a shame - the Inn is beautiful from the outside, and the setting is too.

Room was comfortable and large. Coffee maker needed to be "descaled" so I couldn't drink coffee there. Elevator was broken. Pool not usable. Dinner buffet was terrible but the service was good. Paid $60 for two of us for a "buffet" that included chicken or fish and steamed vegetables with packaged rolls. So expensive. Wish I had known the price and looked at what was offered prior to sitting. We went to Benjamin's Family Restaurant on the way home because I'll never eat at turkey run inn again and it was awesome and 1/3 the price. Trails beautiful as always.

The Inn restaurant was really expensive for what we got, and I'm eternally bummed that we wasted $15 on an overcooked chicken breast that I didn't eat. The whole meal was $75 of our limited dollars and it really put a damper on our stay, unfortunately. A continental breakfast is NOT included, and the prices of breakfast looked better than dinner, but we didn't eat there since dinner wasn't very yummy. There is a gas station/restaurant combo nearby that has excellent food and better prices - I'd recommend eating there - Turkey Run Gas & Grill. Also, the indoor pool was closed for repairs - usually my kids' favorite part of a hotel stay, and since we rarely travel, this was also a disappointment. Our room must have been next to the a/c outside because there was a near-constant low-level buzzing that gave me a headache, along with a weird smell in our room. It wasn't all bad - we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and playing cards together. The staff was wonderful, the trails and park were beautiful. The inn was not, though, and since our vacation was already a hardship on our budget, the expensive food and room vs value was disappointing.

This was a fun place to stay. They have been doing quite a bit of updates and remodeling, which is wonderful. if you stay in a cabin ask for the ones that face the woods. Especially if you are not a smoker or drinker because the picnic tables in front is where everyone congregates. The back half of the cabins that face into the woods gives you more of a peaceful, secluded vibe. The food is not that great and is expensive. I'd recommend going into town getting food and snacks there. The trails are very fun and the very well maintained. Something that we learned is that your feet will get wet while hiking because some of the trails (Punch Bowl) have streams running through them. So it's best to wear shoes that can get wet.

We always enjoy our stays. The restaurant I think, is overpriced for what you get. You can go to 1 of 2 gas stations nearby for better, cheaper food or a short drive to Rockville for other options.

Beautiful historic inn. We stayed in one of the cabin rooms beside the inn and had a lovely time. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Vultures were fun to watch. The veranda was a great place to relax. Dinner at the inn was ok. Nothing to write home about, but tasty after a long day of hiking.

First time visiting during the Christmas season and The Inn did not disappoint! Our cabin was updated & beautiful. But the Inn itself looked amazing! So many huge, perfectly decorated trees, a warm fire crackling in the fireplace, comfy visiting areas everywhere. 10/10 postcard worthy!

I was at the turkey run inn for a family get together and they were more then happy to accommodate us there. The hospitality was great. After eating the group moved to the gathering area to finish off the day the whole set up was a lot better than I had expected. Only problem I had with the experience here is when it came to using the restroom you would think for it being a state park with hiking trails and a restaurant there would be more than just 1 stall. With that being the only problem I would definitely give it a higher 🌟 rating if I could. Thank you to the ladies that were working that day it's much appreciated.
