Great place to stay. Quiet and peaceful, but, close to Bandera for attending events

We got stuck after the roads flooded. The owners were great and extremely helpful. The rooms are very nice and the bed was very comfortable, and I am pretty picky when it comes to mattresses. Highly recommend

This place was a total let down and based on their website, a total fraud. There were no campfires, horse back riding on the grounds or horses period. No amenities other than the pool. In the room, there was a TV that blared a bright white screen all night that could not be stopped unless you unplug it, which was discouraged or you loose sat connection. So had to use every towel to over it to block out the light to sleep. No privacy curtains, so light and views all can be seen. Especially early sunlight. More a doggie park than a dude ranch. Many of them around. No refunds allowed only "rain checks". Based on what we paid (225+) a night and oh ya a two night min. I would like a refund. At least one nights worth. Maybe in the summer they have more stuff available but if so that should be reflected on the website. Again, was a rip off compared to the website and I want a refund.

Peaceful location, beautiful sunsets and an excellent gated in-ground swimming pool with patio and pool toys. River access for exploration and swimming when the water is up. The staff here are incredible. Real, genuine people who enhance the already beautiful outdoor experience. The out-buildings are welcoming, conveniently located and well-kept. The RV sites each have a grassy yard and flat roundabout for bike riding. We spotted a song bird here we hadn’t yet seen in TX! We are new to the state and just began a tradition of staying at Twin Elm and have already felt so welcomed. ✨

I first stayed here as a young child in the mid to late 1970s and our family went back every summer for years. It was surprising when I saw that it still existed as a guest ranch and exciting to see that it hasn’t changed very much. Just like “in the old days” they still offer horse back riding, hay rides, camp fires with s’mores, a swimming pool (much to cold for THIS trip but it was fun to see the pool just like I remember it). As a kid we stayed in the cabins. They are rustic and they are all still there. They’ve added a few new ones and also opened up RV spots with water, electric, and sewer. But even with all this “progress” it still holds all the charm of life of a ranch. Walk down to the Medina river, attend a rodeo, or mosey into town for a restaurant meal or some shopping.
