A nice park close to Omaha. Swimming, fishing and exploring opportunities were great. Very dog friendly. The coin operated shower + a trickle of water was the only negative of our visit.

Plenty to see and do. Lots of fishing in river and lake. We stayed in a Caboose. It was an awesome experience worth the money. Ac was cold and space was cozy.

The online reservation fees are way too high. And if you have to cancel your reservation they'll keep your money anyway! I mainly use two rivers recreational area for tent camping. CAMPSITES ARE PLACED VERY CLOSE TOGETHER and it does tend to get very crowded on any weekend. °° Mar 2025 update! The winter has been very harsh to Two Rivers. They have lost a tremendous amount of trees. The park satff has been frequently closing off camping areas and day areas while they cut up and remove trees. For those who plan on camping or spending time at Two Rivers there will be a lot less shade and it's going to be a hot summer. I looked at many of the areas where trees had come down and it seemed they had blown over at the base. It's as if the water content is increasing in the sandy soil and the trees just couldn't hold up to the wind. it's a sad situation and I hope they begin planting new trees soon. So far I've not seen any tree planting activity. Previous review - Two Rivers is a scenic area. It's close to Omaha so it gets very crowded on the weekends. The campsites are crowded very close together. Most of the people who camp there are amateurs and tend to be inconsiderate of the other people. They will yell at their kids or yell at their dogs or yell at each other till late at night. Sometimes there are a large groups of people who drink and play loud music. They leave their car or loud truck engines running for no apparent reason. The tent camping area is completely surrounded by thick weeds and tall trees and doesn't get any air flow so the air gets smoky. It seems everyone who goes to two rivers must light their own campfire. Most people don't know how to light fires so they throw a bunch of garbage or paper and try to light it. There's no air flow so at best it smells really bad everywhere, at worst it's just suffocating smoke that you can't escape because there's no wind. I've also noticed that there's a lot more litter around the park and it seems to be from all the migrants who tend to gather in large masses and play loud music. • I can't recommend this place unless you're really desperate to put a tent up and you live close to Omaha and you don't want to drive far

There are still a lot of down trees from the July 31st storm. The trails are not marked, and it took me a while to find some. I did 8.57 mi 2h 57m. There is a trail following the Platte River. There are different trails leading off of that one trail. There are 10 caboose cars from Union Pacific with a deck and tables on them with grills at each one. It looks like you can rent them. They all have AC units.

We just went fishing with the kids for the afternoon. Had a lot of fun. And there was a lot to go to. We caught fish and frogs and saw tons of turtles. The people we got the annual permit from were awesome and helpful. And he was very nice and told us where we could catch some fish. The bathroom at the main place was nice and clean. There was hardly anyone there when we went though. It was a Tuesday afternoon.

I like all the different lakes they have to offer. Camped here about 10 years ago. Today we drove by the trout lake and it was packed full of people. We brought our daughter here to "treasure hunt" she took her metal detector she got for Christmas to the swim beach.

We have been camping here since 1968 as little kids with our paternal grandparents. Our favorite NE State Park. Two Rivers is 302 acres and has 6 gorgeous, well-maintained different campground areas with tons of mature trees all around with some trails too. The bathrooms with showers are kept clean and stocked, and the kids playgrounds are well maintained to be safe. Our favorite camping area is "Cottonwood" campground that borders the Platte river (sentimental reasons), it is filled with very tall and old Cottonwood trees. But all the campsites are great. It has been fun watching Two Rivers develop over the years. The whole park is a beautiful nature setting with 7 lakes and Platte river frontage. Fishing is very good here, and the park also has a nice, clean beach for lake swimming. The Park Rangers have always been kind and helpful. They want it quiet for campers after 10 PM also luckily. There is also a nice sized Two Rivers Concessions store across from the Park office and entrance that has lots of supplies and offers light breakfast/ lunch/ dinner; that has been there for decades. Our family has so many years of excellent memories here and can't wait to make more this Spring camping and fishing here. Sometimes my daughter and I drive here just to walk around for a few hours to be in nature and relax, year round. If you want a geat place near Omaha to go for camping, fishing, hunting, or even a fun day trip to picnic and get outdoors year round, Two Rivers is definitely the place.

This was a fun place to camp. The campgrounds were nice and level and the lakes are very pretty. The bathrooms were very clean!

Camp site was fine, we unfortunately had one that had our door facing the road. Had family try to drop us off after dinner around 9 pm and boy ranger attendant wouldn’t let us in without paying for a sticker, he didn’t bother to ask what site we were in either. So here we are we are in our sixties the other couple in their 70’s and this boy couldn’t use common sense to let them drop us off. Felt it was a bit of bullying on his part and so we ended up walking in the dark to our campsite

Used to like it here but the last 2 nights the storms took out my tent! Rangers drove by and not one of them stopped to see if I was ok
