The best views at a campground I have ever seen! We stayed at a lake front site and while there is no lake access for swimming anywhere in the campground, its well worth it to wake up to that view! Boat ramp is right up the road from the campsites. Very friendly host! Only thing is the sites are on sort of a cliff so you have to keep an eye on the kiddos/pups. Make sure you have longer water hoses because the water hookup is in an awkward spot, at least on Site 8. Not a ton of grass for the dogs to potty and bath houses are up a big hill. If you're going during fall, check out Haney's Apple Farm and the Greenhouse Mum and pumpkin patch just up the road.

The campground was clean and the staff all were very friendly. Extremely helpful.

We traveled almost 3 hours to get to waitsboro. After arriving our 29 ft camper would not fit in the site we reserved. Though the website said the site 35 feet long. If we had stayed the tongue would have been in the road, we would have had no where to park our truck, couldn’t have opened our slide out, and couldn’t have even had a fire. The host apologized but they couldn’t refund me the money. So now I’m having to go between Recreation.gov and the host to get our money back. Thankfully we found a site somewhere else and it was beautiful. Waitsboro is definitely a place for small rigs, and tents.

Nice little campground with views of the lake from some sites. Not really large rig friendly but our 25 ft Class C was a perfect fit. Only issue I saw was the placement of the dump station, it's right next to the road by the restrooms. If a camper is using the dump station, the road is completely blocked. No way to get around as the road is too narrow. Also, The water hose at the dump station didn't work.

Went to see what the campgrounds looked like to see if we could even get our camper in there. The Volunteer camp host stopped us and asked us if we were camping. We said no we were wanting to see the campgrounds She informed us they were full and that they didn't want alot of quests through there and that the campers needed their privacy. Lost our business.. We Don't Do Snotty..
