We had a blast on our camping trip. Clean lake and camp, There is a swimming area, playground, a couple boat docks, and lots of picnic tables with grills. We had questions and the law enforcement officer that patrols the area was very helpful, since we could not locate the park host. Cell service was spotty to non-existent. May have been just me. So do your reservations and question seeking before you get to the lake. Enjoy the unplugging, wildlife, rest and relaxation.

Very nice and clean USFS campground. Sites 1 through 12 are first come, first serve. The campground host is very friendly and attentive. Offered to take our payment up to the pay station, which was quite a ways away. We walk the 2.5 mile trail around the lake and encountered three snakes. One a copperhead in the trail that was very lethargic, so we were able to get a stick and move it out of the way. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you USFS!

We spent 4 nights at US Choctaw Lake Campground and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were amazed at how few campers there were - we were one of two or three (with the exception of the host) during the time we were there. The Park is BEAUTIFUL, (and huge!) and the camping spaces are wonderfully spaced, so even if the park were full, you’d have some privacy. The bathroom and showers were clean and in great shape. We really highly recommend this campground for anyone looking for a great experience!

Had a great time. We stayed 2 days passing thru. Ricky the camp host was right out to greet us to show us our spot. Small campground. Well maintained. Love the trail around the lake. Would stay again

Very beautiful, very quiet campground right on a nice reservoir. They have a section you can reserve and a section that is first come, first served. I stayed on the reserved side and was all by myself (mid-week). There were about 6 campers in the other area. The walking trail was well maintained and easy to navigate. I only went on one trail so they all may be not the same. I would certainly stay here again if I was in the area. If you have T-Mobile, you'll only get 1 bar of LTE here.
