Involving my stay here at Vacationer RV Resort I only have good things to say, 1st Adriana in the main office is top notch, professional, courteous with a perfect mix of compassion. 2nd, there is also a mixture of hard working auxiliary staff with also a young hero in amongst them who went so far as to extend a helping hand to a neighbor who inadvertently found herself in need of critical assistance. The many pool party buffets is an added plus. All these things added together makes Vacationer a great neighborhood to be in.

I have been staying here for 2 years now, and really love the staff! The gardeners are kind to my animals and plants. When they drive past they smile and wave. Adriana works the front desk, and I know I can always come to her for things. She remembers my birthday, and is a safe person to go to when I have a medical episode. Javier is also extremely kind. He says hi to my dogs, and gives them pets when we run into him. I appreciate the staff so very much, and really enjoy staying here.

The Vacationer RV Park is in an excellent area. Excellent customer service upon checking-in! Locked/gated community, and even though there is no said “Neighborhood Watch” program, everyone really works together to be aware of the environment. Thank you Adriana for your help getting registered and checked-in. I really appreciated you going over the guidelines of the campground and explaining how to access the amenities. You are so sweet and pleasant! Jesus was so helpful and personally ensured our safe delivery, providing an escort right to the spot! What a man! He is one of the most pleasant maintenance men I have ever met! He really seems to enjoy good job and wishes to make everyone’s experience the best it can be! Thank you!

This review will be a bit different. My family and I lived here when I was a teenager in the 70's. Was the best time of my life. Went to Granite Hills. 5 of us in a tiny travel trailer. I was 13 and never home. Miss the Cajon zone. Very chill place to have your trailer. Glad to see it is still here.

I would have given 5 stars but the vending machine on different occasions stold my money

The park is maintained well. The road at certain parts of the park are very tight, which makes maneuvering larger trailers hard. I had set up a fenced area for my dogs and provided a picture of it to make sure it was ok. My set up was not approved; however there are other lots (32 and 71) that also have fenced dog areas. The inability to have the secured area for my dogs prevented me from being able to stay as planned. Also, the water was shut off for a 24 hour period and notice was not sent out till after the water was turned off. The initial email said bathrooms would still be available by the office but then a couple hours later an addendum came out with no water available anywhere for toilets or showers...pretty inconvenient. No communication when services available again. Lastly, I have called the front desk a couple of times with concerns and asking for a call back as the office is closed when I got off work; however, I never received any calls back from the office.

I have lived her as resident for a few years. All the staff is excellent, friendly helpful without exception. Lots of residents. Lots of travelers. Regardless they always upkeep excellent standards throughout property. Few troubles I've seen were swiftly dealt with. High standard of appearance is expected of units. Probably be here a few more months. Throughly enjoyed time here. Plus its 25min to beach, so not far but just out of reach most gray/clouds that can occur west of here. Basically no more than 30min if traffic not heavy to most popular destinations. 45 to Oceanside

When I moved to El Cajon I lived here for about 2 years I loved it then. I have a friend that needs a place to live and know he lives here it looks the same feels the same I didn't give it 5 stars only because I no longer live here but still feels the same.

Still my favorite place to eat out when and if I eat out probably one of the only places I go to I get a side order of the chicken katsu it's just enough it's very tasty it's a little vacation from my normal diet but it's not too filled with sugar and it sure does taste good

I paid for my drive thru RV site the afternoon of my arrival I told the reservation person I would be there between 5-6PM. She said there wouldn’t a packet for me with my site number. I arrived at 5:30PM, no packet. I called back the lady said my site number was 119, , then left for dinner. When I came back I tried to connect my electricity, it would not work. I asked to other guests if I was doing something wrong. The sites on either side would not work either. I found that site 115 was working so I moved & sent a response. In the morning I went to the main desk, and asked for a partial refund for not having my packet ready, for having to make multiple call, because of my issues, and for a later checkout time. I got the later check out time but as of this time I have not revived a partial refund, saw said she would have to talk to her supervisor. Feel free to call me to discuss as needed. I did not get the service that I should have.

I absolutely loved being at this community. The location is right off the freeway. Walmart is 8 minutes away. Target is about the same or less. There are plenty of kids which made it much more enjoyable for our kids. The clubhouse was always kept clean. And you could use the oven in there whenever. The bathrooms and showers were always cleaned as well. The maintenance team is an incredible group of people. They have extra parking spaces if you need it at a great rate. And it’s dog friendly. The only reason we’re leaving is because we bought land. If not, we’d stay with them and continue to renew our stay.

This is a residential park mainly. The spaces were SUPER small and residents parking into the street areas makes it hard to back your rig in (mine is a 30' toy hauler) It was weird to stay in a park that was mainly occupied by permanent residents. We had a pair of girls in the next space over who were very rude. We used our outdoor space by the picnic table one time during our 11 night stay. We were out there for an hour around 4pm talking to our son and grandkids when the girl next door pounded loudly on the side of her trailer. We ignored it because we were not being loud, just talking and laughing (at 4 PM). 10 minutes later, she came out and walked through our picnic area in our campsite and out the back hedgerow toward the bathroom. It just was the icing on the cake for me that the park was not for "Vacationers" I was very disappointed with the amenities as well. There are no convenient paths to restrooms from where we were parked. I had to walk all the way around. There should be paths between sites for access. The plus was the gated entry because the area was a bit sketchy. The pool and hot tub were old and dated. We used once but we opted not to go back. I don't recommend it unless you need to live there because San Diego rents are out of control. I assume that is why they had so many permanent residents.

The sites are too close together. Have highway noise. Staff is great! Pool and hot tub is cleaned everyday. Pictures can be a little deceiving. Good for short stay. Not for a long stay. Prices are reasonable.
