Our first trip to Van Buren SP campground. Everything about this SP was outstanding. The sites are very generous in size, the facilities are brand new, and the beach is an easy ten minute walk. The trail into South Haven is freshly blacktopped and a pretty ride.

Great park for camping. Day use area nice. Lake is REALLY rocky, water shoes recommended. Can't go wrong with Lake Michigan beaches.

We always go for the beach. Easy parking, nice paved way to beach, not a hundred yards of sand to get to the water , bathrooms are clean, I would suggest water Shoes for people with sensitive feet first couple yards in water are a little rocky after that sandy in water. Nice park area for picnics

Beautiful beach along Lake Michigan with colorful rocks in the water and along the shoreline. Sandy beach with trees that provide shade in the morning/early afternoon. Great campground with 220 sites.

Beautiful little area off the lake with plenty of short hike trails leading to the beach. It was raining off and on during my visit but a beautiful view anyway! Definitely hope to go back and spend some more time hiking and hanging out on the beach. (There are some beautiful rocks for anyone who collects. The sand embeds some glass looking pieces that makes some of the sedimentary rocks looks metallic. Stunning what nature can do!) Only took a star off because it was hard to navigate and find the trail heads. Could use some more signs.

Stayed at the Van Buren State Park campground mid-October. We came to ride the coast down to Warren Dunes and hit Grand Mere state Park on the way. Park was nice, restrooms clean, spots are decently sized, and beach area is beautiful! This is spot # 22 for reference.

Beautiful day at Van Buren State Park. I only went to the beach area but it was still fun. There are a lot of facilities here although they weren't opened this time of year Ample parking.

Spending some time by the Lake and it's beautiful, but very cold. The rocks are interesting... but that wind is piercing. Loving the scenery and trails. Happy trails everyone

One of the best state parks in the lower western region. Not as busy or run down as Warren Dunes, lots of trails and plenty of beach access. Clean bathrooms, plenty of parking and dog friendly.

This campground is very nice. Has a beach area you can walk to. Has the nicest bathrooms I’ve seen as far as campgrounds. They even have an area where you can wash your dishes. Definitely will be coming back.
