This is a lovely campground if you can get a grassy site. If not, I wouldn’t bother. We had booked sites “next to each other”- but when the campsite opened back up after covid rules changed, we no longer had adjoining sites for our group- without notice or anything effort to try and fix the situation. Poor communication, in my opinion. The sites are incredibly close to each other, and clearly don’t take into account that many trailers have pop outs. My family uses a tent trailer, but much of our space was used up by the trailers on either side of us. Outlets were impossibly far away, and tap was so close to the ground it was mostly unusable. The site we were given also had the large tree chopped down and none was put it it’s place, so there was ZERO shade. Another mentionable note- we were given a spot beside someone who was obviously camped there long term, and chain smoked the entire time. Would appreciate if there were a designated smoking area if that’s the case- the constant stream into my tent trailer 3 feet away where my kids sleep isn’t ideal or safe.

Lower Your Expectations! Just not worth the money! Be prepared that not everything you think you are getting you will get. I was not happy with the experience from the start. When I pulled with a 42.4 foot fifth wheel there were about 5 VERY large pot holes at the the entrance, trust me, I felt them! and when I told the person at the front desk she said it is on the other side of the properly line which they don't own so not their responsibility. Their own roads going to the sites are no better! I hope you have great eye site because you won't be able to read the site numbers on the B sites pulling in. I came in October so it was not busy. I got probably the worst site. It wasn't raining at the time but when it there was mud everywhere and little water lakes everywhere. They said they have Internet but when I hooked it up it didn't work. I called the after hours number b/c the office was closed and he said I needed to read the sign at the front desk that said "Internet is Intermittent" when I asked the front desk and when I called they said they had Internet. They did not tell me it didn't work. They seem to have an answer for everything. And the best is that if you have pets be prepared to pay $5 per pet per day. I have 2 dogs so that is a 25% increase is the daily rate. When I asked why? They said the city charges for it so they have to. I asked how does the city knows and what do my dogs get for that charge? no answer! lol If I knew this is what I would be getting then I wouldn't really have an issue, however, their website paints a different picture. It is close to downtown and Cultas Lake. That was a good point.

Excellent Family camping!! The campers were friendly and nice. We did find some of the sites a bit small, but everything was very clean. Everyone is off doing activities in the day so the whole place is nice abd quiet and peaceful .. Washrooms are super clean, plenty of hot water for showers and no line ups. Thanks so much to the girls at the gate and the camp host who were so nice and helpful to us. I am so glad we found this gem and will definitely be returning.
