Our stay at the lodge was great! Cabin 11 was perfect for our family. Clean and spacious, with great views of the lake and mountains. Staff was awesome and made the experience top notch. If you appreciate an authentic experience this is the place to go!

We had a great time at Vega Lodge. Welcoming staff, knowledgeable about the outdoors, all local wildlife, and geography. Aleesha is kind and warm at the front desk. The small staff handles it all from check-in/out to meals and housekeeping. The small cabins are simply appointed and just perfect for a nice weekend. Breakfast, dinner, and drinks are not to be missed! Luke, the owner, is ever-available with a good story and is also the outfitter/guide. It's a unique Colorado experience that cannot be missed. PS: They are dog-friendly and have a beautiful wedding venue, as well.

This place is an absolute hidden gem 💎 It is a perfect balance of seclusion and comfort all wrapped up into one! Very affordable, Great place to disconnect but also has the option for Wi-Fi at the lodge if needed. The staff and the family there are as down to earth as it gets! & VERY accommodating! We had a group of 40 more motorcycle enthusiast & it was ABSOLUTELY wonderful! We do an annual trip every year, last year we lost our usual spot, however I feel like it was meant to be finding this location! Thank you Luke & family for making it a memorable trip! See you next year🙏🏻💯

Stopped in for some ice and ended up having a drink at the bar. Luke was really friendly and helpful and considering they had just closed and he stayed open for us was really cool. The lodge and bar are awesome with incredible views of the lake and surrounding scenery. Plus there are hundreds of hummingbirds thanks to the feeders that Luke keeps full. Fun place highly recommend!

Spent the weekend at one of the RV hookup sites. We had an excellent time! It was super convenient to grab lunch or dinner and not have to cook something for everyone if we weren’t feeling like it. More time for fishing the lake! Restaurant/bar was lovely. Good food, good drinks. Friendly staff and lots of friendly dogs keeping us company. Has a little store to top off supplies if you forget something. We will definitely come for another stay soon!

Came to camp last August and loved it. Stopped by the store for ice. I complained about a pesky fly at our campsite and they donated their swatter. Came to camp this August and it rained the whole time. Will go again to try their prime rib. I’m sure it will be great.

This is such an amazing little spot to kick back and have a fantastic weekend with lots of fresh air. The food was amazing and all of the staff was super helpful with kayak rentals and everything else me and my family needed. I’m so glad I found this place and I will be back next year and years to come.

I grew up frequenting the lodge as we have a cabin across the lake. We knew the old owners very well. I haven’t been up to Vega in over a decade since I’ve moved out of state. We stayed in a little log cabin for a couple of nights & it was very relaxing. The food was alright, the poor staff seem to be stretched thin but they were very nice & work very hard. The only thing I would change about the cabin is the door seals… it left a gap big enough to let a little field mouse in, which we caught & let out and sure enough not even 3 minutes later it squeezed right back through. I’d also just mention that the cabins don’t have A/C. At least the smaller ones don’t- I was dying until it got cold around 2am. All in all it was a great experience, very relaxing. I sure missed that colorado fresh air.

A group of 4 of us called on Saturday to see if they had an specials and the person who answered said they had prime rib and if we wanted to have prime rib we need to make a reservation. We didn't want prime rib so we didn't need a reservation. We drove up from Grand Junction and got there and not a sole was in the restaurant and the hostess told us she could not serve us because we didn't have a reservation and we told her what we were told on the phone and she said well sorry that is how it goes. It was 15 min before 7 and she said she could seat us at 8:30. We told her we had just driven from Grand Junction and she said she knows how that is because she lives in Palisade but still couldn't seat us. As we were leaving she said I could maybe get you a to go order but that is the best I can do. We left and went to mesa to eat. We will not be going back again.
