Of all the parks, this was the worse experience of them all in 2 years. No shaded areas. Blocked walking areas for pets. An office that doesn't meet its members. Rangers that don't let delivery through the gate. Not very welcoming to Members.

We had an amazing experience at this park! Amanda was so amazingly helpful and very pleasant. We needed assistance several times throughout our stay and she was more than happy to help each time. I think this is my favorite Thousand Trails park so far. Can’t wait to be back!

Nice park. My third year here. My ONLY complaint, I have had to pick up rude people's dog poop every time I go to the doggie pen in the upper camping area. It's disgusting. The park supplies bags. If you're one of them, shame on you. Ruins it for other doggie owners. 🤬🤬

This was our first time camping here and WOW, what a nice park! We stayed in loop H pull through, it's a 30 amp part of the park with mostly mature trees and plenty of shade. We were fortunate to be able to pick a great spot and enjoy no neighbors on the camp-side of our spot. Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful views... What else could you ask for? Water pressure was excellent and power was very reliable. We camped in a 5th wheel and did not need to disconnect (even though we did) due to the very long site. We would highly recommend Verde Valley even if you don't have a Thousand Trails membership. We camped at Thousand Trails Verde Valley in a Fifth Wheel.

We’ve stayed at Thousand Trails Verde Valley several times over the years, and this is one of those campgrounds that really splits our opinion. Debi absolutely loves it—and to be fair, it is a beautiful park set in a great location with some truly scenic surroundings. To Thousand Trails’ credit, they’ve invested heavily in this property over the past few years, and it shows. The newer sections are a big upgrade, with well-designed sites and fantastic views that are a major improvement from what this park used to be. That said, our experience has been frustrating—and it really comes down to the site setup. The newer, premium sites are almost entirely 50-amp and reservable, which works great for larger rigs. If that’s you, this campground is a home run: you’ll likely get a great site with a view and a smooth arrival. For those of us in smaller RVs that only need 30-amp, it’s a different story. We’re left to the older sections of the park, where sites can be uneven and it’s often a challenge to find something level and comfortable. It’s one of the few campgrounds where we consistently struggle to get a site that works well for our rig, and it does feel like the improvements haven’t really been extended to this portion of the park. The demand here is clearly strong—the park always seems full, which speaks to its popularity and location. But it also means 30-amp campers are left competing for what’s available on arrival, without the benefit of reserving a quality site in advance. Bottom line: If you’re in a larger rig and need 50-amp, you’ll probably love this place. If you’re in a smaller setup like ours, just be prepared for a bit more work—and a different experience altogether.
