Such a lovely park in Central Nebraska. We stayed in Cabin 1. It was clean, comfortable, and had an incredible lake view. The cottonwoods were shedding their seeds, creating a dreamy snow-like effect. Birds and other wildlife abound. Highly recommend a visit! Our 1 drawback was that the cabin smelled pretty heavily of cleaning product when we first arrived. I think this could be solved by just airing the cabins out a bit after cleaning.

We were passing through the area when this park popped up on our GPS—what a great find! A perfect spot to camp and relax, and we’re so glad we stopped. Well cared for park!

There is Nearly Zero cell phone reception in/near this park. It's a good overnight stop. This is a pretty park with plenty of shade, a small fishing lake, a ball field, 2 horseshoe pits with multiple picnic tables, restrooms, and showers, with another set of restrooms only at the back behind the ball field. The sites are large and easy to back into. 4 rv sites have shared water, 2 spigots for 4 sites, for filling tanks, see my pics. 2 handicap sites with electric and concrete pads, many other sites have electric, there are a few primitive sites at the back. No sites have sewer connections. The showers have a timer valve that automatically turns water off after a few minutes. The water takes about 2 full cycles of the valve to get warm water. The park is adjacent to a highway, but noise is minimal.

What a relaxing, beautiful and peaceful retreat! The Park Ranger, Leo, was very friendly, accommodating and helpful when AC went out in cabin. Seems old reviews indicated mattresses were old, but that is no longer case. Cabins updated a couple of years ago and very wheelchair friendly. Cellphone reception is limited which creates peace and a disconnect from outside distractions. Off my cabin deck, watched two species of woodpeckers, a blue heron, a blue Jay, cardinals and many other birds. In the evening, the bullfrogs sang in harmony. Great time and excited to return next year!

I would love nothing more than to give this place more stars however there was not much to see. We did not see any "Springs" we saw a nice little Creek and a little Lake but those were completely covered in algae. I don't know if there were any fish because of the amount of algae that was on the surface of the water and despite trying for over an hour we did not have any bites, even when trying different bait and lures. Offices were closed (closed Wednesday and Thursday) so we could not rent a paddle boat (which you cannot take very far because they have it blocked off into a little lake instead of going down the stream). The only highlights to our trip out there were getting to see the original log cabins and old school house but unfortunately you can't see into the old school house very well because they have steel mash over the windows which I understand is for security but you can't go in the school so it would at least be nice to see into it. I would love to see this place improve and revisit it.
