Gorgeous spot in the middle of the Heartland, I never knew that pelicans made this far north.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Victory Park is a hidden gem right on the Mississippi River! The views are absolutely stunning — you can watch barges go by, spot eagles soaring, and even catch a glimpse of the nearby lock and dam. The park has a charming old railway station nearby, adding a touch of history to your visit. It’s peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a picnic or just taking a stroll along the river. There’s also a unique climbing structure for kids to enjoy. The location is easy to find, with plenty of space to relax and take in the river breeze. Highly recommended if you’re passing through Keokuk or staying nearby. A great spot to unwind and enjoy nature. 📍 8 N Water St, Keokuk, IA 52632

It is a beautiful location adjacent to the Mississippi River, but the place does not get enough attention from the city. It needs some maintenance.

Really neat place right on the Mississippi River. Within walking distance you can watch barges and their rugs go thru the lock. There is an old steam tug on dry display that is a museum and for a small fee you can tour it. Well worth a stop.

Great park!!! Highway 136 is one of my favorite motorcycle routes through Missouri and Illinois. I always stop at this park in Keokuk. Great views of the River, bridge, and locks. The dam is their and power plant. It’s a nice place for picnic.
