Vista Ridge RV Park

Not what I expected based off their website, photos, and reviews. This is a gated park, and it is in the “country” (meaning not much around it for at least a 15-20 minute drive). I requested a pull thru site expecting something close to what the website showed, we were put into an entirely different section of the park and it totally felt “ghetto”. The grass was not mowed, there was a very strong cat pee smell, the travel trailers on either side of me appeared to be long term stays with lots of “stuff” at their sites. Nothing wrong with that, but it certainly did not meet my expectations based off the website, etc. The park wifi did not adequately support the pull thru sites. There is a nudist colony inside of the gate with a 6’ fence separating it from the park, but the colony uses the same security gate, for access, as the Rv park - I found this to be very odd. On a positive note, the two ladies who work at the park were very kind and customer service oriented. If you have a back-in location at this park, you will love it. That section is gorgeous. They have awesome Speed Queen washers and dryers in the laundry room. I did not go into the clubhouse or fitness room. Overall, not what I expected, but since there were no refunds for any reason we had to stay our scheduled 4 nights. We booked this place so we could explore San Antonio- it was a bit out of the way in my opinion, but my husband loved the fact it was out of the main area of the city.

Beautiful campsites near the river. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The clubhouse was clean and had tons of games and morning coffee.

Was met by a very cheerful, helpful women who escorted us to our site, then returned with our welcome package. This campground has so much potential. The location was great. Brand new clean laundry room and excerise room. A really cute clubhouse that we enjoyed with free Wi-Fi. The grounds themselves could use some help. Just simple raking, landscaping grading the drive and roads and picking up would do alot. You can tell they want to make it nice but maybe not willing to spend the money. We felt safe at our stay and thank you for allowing us to!
