Great campground for anyone, tent, camper, RV.. long or short, not level but close enough. Many sites on lake and helpful staff. Please know your campsite number and any passes need to be ready at the entrance when arriving. Don’t show up until 3:00 or you will have to turn your rig around and wait at fire station until the people at your site leave. ( option2… park at fire station located at turn off (see Google) and call and see if your site is empty, if so they will let you in). Roads are paved but most sites are gravel. One tree in area B gave us trouble on a curve but we managed our 44 ft 5th wheel after backing up a few times. So, if we come again area A is where we want to be with our monster. 2 + Bathrooms and 2 dump stations, ice and firewood 5.00 available. Coded gate and beach area. It October here now and it’s in the 30’s at night so bring a jacket. It’s hilly but not steep, easy access to campground from the Asheville area. We had no travel problems, make sure your gas is full, stations are few on the way.

We absolutely love camping here. The staff is amazing. The information given on the app is perfect. The views are breathtaking. Everyone is friendly here and all pets are welcome. Bring your boat or your swimming clothes and enjoy a day on the lake.

Great campground on W Kerr Scott Reservoir. Mix of wooded sites and open sites, many with water views. Grills, grill prep tables as well as standard picnic tables at each site. Rest rooms adequate. Great access to recreation right from camp ground: boat ramp, beach and well designed mountain bike trails. Little free library, firewood and ice available at good price near office. We enjoyed kayaking and biking here, expect to return.

Long, level sites. Beautifully maintained with electric and water. You don't find that at most nation forest campgrounds. We've camped all around the US. This is probably the best national forest campground we've been in. Most are downright primitive! Plus if you have the yearly national pass it's half off. The picture is of site 20.
