We have stayed in the cabins every summer for a number of years. The 3 cabins facing the lake are the best in our opinion. What a view!!

Love camping on the lake. Electric only but worth the inconvenience. We visit a few times a year. Lots of wood and ice available 24/7. Clean sites and awesome staff. 8/24/24.....Better than last year!!!

This campground is GREAT !!!! My boyfriend and I stayed here June 24th thru June 26th in the rustic area. This was a FANTASTIC choice !! Very nice !! The up-keep here is great too !! All the trails are clean and trimmed. This means alot to me since I walk with a cane. I would recommend this park to everyone !!! So nice. Next time we visit we are going to rent a cabin for that experience !! 5 stars out of 5 !!!!!

Awesome hidden gem. We had the opportunity to visit this past weekend we had a rustic site. The bathrooms are clean, the office is right on the water and offer wood and ice for cheap cheap. Hiked the trails, swing set on the beach, volleyball net on the beach. Super quiet at night, the roar of lake Huron it's amazing. We will definitely be back. Close to turnip rock and shipwrecks. One of our favorite spots.

We camped here in August of 2021 and loved it. Park was nice. Our site was right next to the beach trail and we loved it. Rocky and slippery swimming, so I wouldn't suggest going out without good shoes including toe coverage or you'll end up a bit bruised. We had a blast riding the waves. A few rocks but not much in the way of rock hunting. All around great trip, we'll definitely be back!

We camped here the weekend of the Cheeseburger Festival and it was beautiful! We booked our site a month prior, so we got lucky because the campsite was at full capacity. The weather was perfect, but it did get cold at night. We camped with a tent and thankfully we brought our sweaters and sweatpants so we slept well. I can imagine Wagener not being pleasant because you're directly off the lake, but in August Wagener is worth staying at just so you can watch the sky at sunset. The bathrooms were cleaned every morning and had no issues with toilet paper running out. The campsite was packed, and though people were blaring their music (not supposed to) we still had a good time there. Wagener allows dogs BUT not on the beach, which is probably why the beach was pristine. We found blackberries on the trail that were deliciously sweetâwe ate a handful and didn't get sick. My only caution is that the beach is rocky so bring your water shoes, and the current was pretty strong. So I didn't feel comfortable swimming there, but Port Austin is a short drive away and I'd rather swim there instead. Also mosquitos were not an issue, I only got bite twice while on the trail, and I typically get bite a lot. Our camping experience was practically bug-free so again, another reason to camp at Wagener again!

All in all, we enjoyed our extended weekend in the Bass Cabin. Time for some new mattresses thoughđ. Also, could swap the benches for some chairsâŚsomeplace to sit when the rains comeđ. Pretty private cabin, great view of the lake, bunnies and fireflies though. I would recommend Wagener County Park. Oh yes, the vintage travel trailers were wonderful! So glad they were here and we picked this weekend. One couple were kind enough to invite us in for a quick âlook-seeâ too. Beautiful! Thank you!!

Closed for the winter. This is a forgotten park in the county. Locals would like to keep it secret.

Beautiful rv park. Some areas at the park flood if there is a lot of rain. Site 12 and around there is right on the lake. Plenty of flies, bring bug spray
