I can't say enough good about this campground. It is meticulously clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The owners have thought of every convenience possible to make your stay easy and enjoyable. I appreciate their rules regarding noise, music level and no political propaganda. There is a laundry, library with wood stove, game room and gift shop/convenience store on site. The setting is really beautiful too. Close to Sister Bay and Ellison Bay and many state parks. We return every year 👍

We love this place so much. So lucky to have found it! Beautiful grounds, in 3 minutes I saw a blue Jay a hummingbird and little brown squirrels. Love the wildflowers and nature. The sky at night is gorgeous. Also love the bathrooms. Always pristine

We just left Wagon Trail after a weeks stay today, and I thought long and hard about this review before writing it. I want to give the owners and staff all of the credit in the world for providing us our favorite campground across 6-7 states. On the other hand, I really, really, hate letting any more people know about this hidden gem at the north end of Door County. It is hard enough to get a spot in the same year you are booking it. If you are looking to party, this is not your place. If you are looking for quiet, dark skies and stargazing, and friendly people, this is the only place. Always impressed with the cleanliness of the the grounds and facilities. Absolutely spotless. Heavily wooded, spacious sites, and some of the nicest staff anywhere. My wife and I will continue to return there yearly for a long time to come.

Absolutely loved our stay at Wagon Trail! This was our first time here, and we’ll definitely be back. The staff were so warm and welcoming—it made check-in and every interaction feel easy and enjoyable. One feature I especially appreciated was the ability to charge things like firewood and ice to your account instead of paying each time. It’s such a simple convenience, but it really adds to the relaxed vibe. As many others have mentioned, the bathrooms here are outstanding—hands down the cleanest and nicest I’ve ever seen at a campground. The showers were spotless, and everything felt well cared for. The overall atmosphere was just what I was hoping for in Door County: peaceful, calm, and beautifully maintained. A perfect place to unwind. Can’t wait to come back!

This may be the nicest campground you will ever visit, and this is not lost on people who come to Door County. The facilities were immaculate, they had a wonderful little store/gift shop, the staff was wonderful, the sites were generously sized, and the location can't be beat. They also had the most adorable little group of squirrels hanging out by the store! But coming here in late June was anything but peaceful. The place was packed and guests of all ages felt very free to vocalize how much fun they were having, from sunup until after "quiet time" begins at 10 pm. I still give this place 5 stars because there is no denying it is extremely nice, and they can't help being so popular.
