My husband and I were traveling along Hwy. 93 from Craters of the Moon to Hamilton, MT. We drove by this RV Park and wish we would have booked here instead of Hamilton. This park is stunning. It’s immaculate and sits on the Salmon River. Even though we didn’t stay…..I still highly recommend because of its location and beauty!!

We stayed at this RV park for the first time - we will return! The staff is super friendly - the owner even gave me an egg when I only needed one and didn't want to go into town! The scenery is spectacular - our spot was facing the river.

Our recent stay at Wagonhammer RV Park was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in a serene setting, this gem offers everything you could want for a peaceful getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome by the staff at Wagonhammer. Every single team member was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel right at home. One of the standout features of Wagonhammer RV Park is its impeccable cleanliness. The restrooms, showers, and common areas were spotless, making our camping experience even more enjoyable. It’s evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining the park, ensuring that every guest enjoys a comfortable and pleasant stay. What truly set Wagonhammer apart for us was the tranquil environment. The park is a haven of peace and quiet, allowing us to truly unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. The gentle sound of the river, the rustling of leaves, and the soft chirping of birds provided the perfect soundtrack to our relaxing retreat. Our time at Wagonhammer RV Park was nothing short of amazing. The combination of a warm and welcoming staff, pristine facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere made it an unforgettable experience. The place is amazing. All facilities are amazingly maintained and clean. Owners and staff are 5 star. I would recommend Wagonhammer to anyone. The sites are clean and level. Best RV park we have stayed in. Dog island was great for the dogs with river access so they could have fun. 5 star experience all the way around!

We came for a month, and are staying all summer. Large shade trees. Located on the beautiful Salmon River. Well - maintained. Superb service from owners and staff. Quality amenities in the town of Salmon. Wildlife watching. An island where your dog can run free. Friendly service. Good rates and value. We have traveled the West for years and this is the best, for retirees and families (and pets), in our opinion. There is still time to enjoy this beautiful place in 2024, or plan for 2025. We will be back! Janet & Patrick

Have to say, this might be the nicest RV Park we've visited in Idaho. Lush green grass, water and power hookups with a dump site available. Clean bathroom/shower house, a wonderful gift shop, and a large laundry room. A comfy sitting area with computers and television occupies one end of the lodge. Will definitely return next year on our way to Challis for the Braun Brothers Reunion Concert.

This camp site is very nice. Easy to pull in even with a big rig. The people running the desk and management were really who made the experience awesome though. We booked for two nights and ended up having to leave early because my son got sick. The management kindly refunded the second day due to the circumstance even though it was clearly part of their policies. I didn't expect them to be so generous but the favor will be remembered and I'll be sure to recommend them to all my friends and family! I'll also be returning next summer. Thanks Wagonhammer!

Really nice park. Definitely would return. Nice and clean restrooms laundry area clean. The front row on the river really nice but no sewer hookups. We had full hookups but the trees in this area are really a mess. Flowering Plum berries made a real mess of table and patio area. Very nice staff!

Beautiful setting right on the Salmon River. Our spot on the river did not have sewer service but we knew that going in. It is $10 to use their central dump. Don't plan on using your cell phone much at this location. If you have Verizon you will get some service close to the lodge. Also don't plan on cycling because the road has no apron and it is very dangerous. Good hiking trails are nearby and within walking distance. North Fork village is about 1.5 miles away. They have a great selection of Patagonia apparel and delicious ice cream. Overall the beauty of the site makes it a great stop over but the cell service and difficulty in traveling without a tow vehicle are downsides you should consider.

This park is located in the most beautiful area surrounded by mountains that are home to all kinds of birds and animals. The park it's self is a wonderful property staffed with friendly and kind people. You will be made to feel right at home before you even get to your site. If you bring along your dog make sure to go to Dog Island. It is a wonderful spot where you can take off the leash and explore. A small word of caution, keep an eye on the pace of the river as it can run fast in the spring. There are so many things to do and see in the area. If you are a history buff, Lewis and Clark were in this area and most of the places are marked or on a trail. If you like to bird watch you have a front row seat to watch Bald and Golden Eagles. Not to mention the host of song birds that call Wagonhammer home. Watch out for the Kill Deer, they nest in the ground and will chase you away! On the way into Salmon we came across a herd of cows being moved to another pasture. They were right there on the side of the road, walking along. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I loved my time at Wagonhammer RV Park.
