Booked two full hookup sites months in advance. When we arrived, they had changed our sites and one no longer had hookups. Had to disturb the cook in the restaurant to straighten it all out. Thankfully, he did! Sites were not exactly level, but not horrible either. Would go back. They were working on the place, doing a great job of it too. The bar/restaurant/patio is a great place to drink/eat/hangout.

The door between the rooms was not secure. There was a significant gap in between the rooms allowing you to hear anything and everything from your neighbor all night. We have stayed here for years and years and have never had this problem before. We unfortunately did not get any sleep and just went home the next morning, skipping the rodeo for the first time. I attempted to let them know when I checked out but nobody really appeared to care. I also left a voicemail, but never received any call or email. We also received multiple ant bites and found several deceased ones in the bed Sunday morning. We got a not so pleasant surprise the same day I was charged for the room when I noticed the price was double from when I reserved the room last year. This would not have been as bad if there was some notification of the change in price. Still disappointed I have not had any contact from the hotel whatsoever. I will add additional photos. I wanted to follow up here. I was left 1 voicemail/text concerned about my review. When I responded, I received no further communication. Instead, a semi-sarcastic response here about noise. We've been rodeoing for 2 decades. I know about noise. But a gap in your door big enough to see people in the next room is a legitimate concern. Nobody being concerned you are checking out a day early is a concern. Instead we felt very blown off, as we were not distinguished enough to earn respect as guests. We've stayed at this hotel for years. We're not snotty or snobby people. We even over-tip bad service for crying out loud. The overall response is disheartening. After discussing, we determined that likely the rooms were not finished. There was nowhere to hang a coat. Not all the lights had covers. But we were still charged more than our original reservation when we checked out. All things that could have been addressed with a simple, we're sorry, as opposed to a snide remark.

Formally known as the Wagons West Motel and RV Park, the park has about 30 spaces. Laundry and showers are available. The Outlaw Women Saloon and restaurant has amazing food. There is plenty of room for hikers on the (CDT)Continental Divide Trail to pitch a tent. Augusta Rodeo weekend is probably the only time this place is completely stuffed. Quite with excellent sunsets.

As a former owner of this business, I am so impressed by the new owners. The remodeled rooms were amazing if you know what they used to look like it’s a huge improvement. Great job.! The staff was spectacular. We met Charmaine love her, very helpful and very pleasant she is a keeper. The chef Senate does a spectacular job. I will look forward to my next visit to see what other improvements they have done.

The room was filthy! This is the bedbug Hilton. If you like your vegetables out of a can you will love this place!!

You never know what you’re gonna find along the road less travelled so I was a bit hesitant. What I found when we arrived was more than acceptable with friendly folks, a simple but clean room and great food at the restaurant. Not sure that we’ll ever pass this way again but would not hesitate to stay again.
Bound by wild things
Spent 2 long weekends in this motel. Over a course of a couple months. My first visit I stayed in a king room on the front side facing the road. The motel is dated but that is also part of its charm. It takes you back to those road trips across the country where you’d stay in a motel that had a great cafe and bar included and you’d fill up on homemade breakfasts before venturing out on activities for the day! The motel is currently getting renovated but it doesn’t disturb your stay as they keep it to one room at a time. My rooms were clean and had coffee makers, microwave and fridge. Bed is comfy and provides a cozy place to watch movies from or you can order take out from the cafe and eat it in your room at the table. All in all in a small town that caters to travelers, hunters and rodeo goers this motel is a fine place to stay. If you are traveling in a van/RV you can hookup in their RV lot and still have access to the amenities such as a large laundry room. The bar is the gathering place for both local town folk and travelers. The small community of Augusta is a very friendly town where people truly know your name after just a short while. The price is fair, the owners friendly and accommodating. I will stay here again whenever I’m visiting or passing through.
