It is a beautiful place with lots of pine trees and a gorgeous lake. There are no trails but the neighborhood walks are nice I love how their house looks I wish I had my kayak to explore the lake maybe do some fishing. They have lots of sites with the view of the lake from tent sites to pup ups sites to parking our 40 foot DP sites are spaced out good and are not cramped like sardines. Awesome place

I grew up camping here before the RV campsite took up most of the area. It don’t love the RVs but that’s the way camping has moved to so WP obliged with lots of great, level spots and wide roads. I’ve seen it change over the years and Walleye Park is in a good place right now. Well managed, kept up and clean - from camp sites to bathrooms. It’s a great place to sit and watch the waves being in the north side, it tends to to have a nice breeze all summer.

Fabulous park. Nice level pads with great views. Perfect for any size RV. Great sites for tents, too. Full hookups are available. They say there's wifi, but it's hit or miss at best. Minimum 3-night stay & can only book 60 days out.

Walleye Park is fantastic. The entire park is well laid out, each section offers prime locations for everything from tent/car camping to full hookups in premium spots We used the premium full-hookup lot #65. Our stay was for a full week during the first week of October. We had the park almost entirely to ourselves until Thursday. By Friday eve the park was at about 70% full. It never felt overcrowded and the patrons were quite polite and there were never any noise or party issues after 10 PM. We enjoyed the private boat dock/fishing piers. We caught enough catfish to have a hearty family fish fry. While all the sites look great, If you are in a large rig, try to get sites 65(only site parallel to lake) or 68, 69 in that order. Sites 66 and 62 are a bit smaller but are great for rear living coaches because you'll feel like you are floating above water. Any of these sites can handle rigs up to 42 feet. The pads are quite large. Our site had enough room for our 41 foot 5th wheel and our tow vehicle (disconnected) with room to spare. You won't have any problems with heights or slide-out width in this premium section. Water supply was good, full 50 amp power and septic. The park service, security and even TX Highway Patrol had regular patrols. The district takes security and your enjoyment of the park very seriously. It's not often you actually find a park that looks like the scenes from RV manufacturer ads, but this park pulls it off. pros: massive concrete pads lakefront grill, fire pit and fishing pier/boat dock easy access full hookups 50 amp beautiful good cell coverage little light pollution see the milky way! cons: wifi is practically unusable Watch out for GPS directions may rout you through very poor roads. Keep to the main roads!
