This beach is absolutely one of the best that there is! Nice and clean, long stretch of beach to walk and rock search, clean bathrooms and plenty of dumpsters! Staff are very friendly and obviously very proactive at keeping the grounds looking top notch. Very peaceful place 🙂

I was pretty surprised by this place. I didn’t have much expectations. We’ve already seen dunes so I wasn’t excited. The beach is beautiful. The water is a stunning color. Looks like they’re adding some buildings. Everything looked clean. For the most part. The dunes are cool. Not much hiking. It would be nice to camp here. I think they should only charge $5 for entry though.

Beautiful state park with pristine dunes, beaches, and many different trails to choose from, some really challenging others moderate/easy. Highly recommend!

Based on the size and number of large (closed) lakefront parking lots I would guess this place is rather busy in the summer. However, at the end of February - on one of the first warm days of the year, it was like the place was all ours! It was magical!! Getting to bring the fur babies with made it all the more perfect!!

This is a magical piece of nature not to be missed if you are in the area. The sand dunes tower above the beach front and are constantly moving and migrating although it’s not perceived by just observing them. Our Winter visit was peaceful and quiet with few people. The coastline was partially frozen and it added a calmness to the atmosphere. Catch a sunset 🌅 here, you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful, restful park.
