Many sites are designed to be big-rig friendly, offering generous space and easy access for larger coaches looking for a level parking surface near the shoreline.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Fishing is the primary draw here, as Waurika Lake is well-stocked with catfish, crappie, and hybrid stripers. Beyond the water, history buffs can visit the nearby Chisholm Trail Museum in Waurika to learn about the region's historic cattle-driving heritage. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy birdwatching or exploring the native grasslands that surround the reservoir, which are home to a variety of local wildlife. The nearby town offers small-town charm and local dining for those who want to explore beyond the campground.

It waa a little hard to find our way around between the Kiowa Parks 1 and 2 for camping without a reservation. When we did get there the attendant at the booth was very friendly and helpful to assign us a great spot by the lake. Nice large sites and lots of open space for people to spread out.
