My husband and I stayed at site 11 over this past weekend (June 19-21) and we were disappointed. The first thing that struck us as strange is there is absolutely nowhere to check in. There are hosts that can help assist you. But there’s nowhere to buy things like firewood or other necessities when camping. You have to drive to a store outside the park for anything. Also our site was very unlevel, even though it was paved. The hookups for the water and electric were in very strange places as well. My husband and I have stayed at many campgrounds up and down the east coast but this has got to be the first one that we would more than likely not return to. As far as other things around the park, there isn’t much and what is there is not in the best condition. There is a poorly kept boardwalk around the lake but proceed with caution if it rains. My husband nearly fell numerous times because of the slick muck and algae on the boardwalk. The lake was a nice lake to kayak though, which is why I have given it the 3 stars

Loved our time at Iron Ridge Campground!! We stayed at site 19 for 3 days/2 nights, Fri - Sun. Great site with a lot of space and we even had other people at sites around us. Spacious and cozy. Fire pit with a swivel grill grate attached. Definitely going to come back!! Adding some photos of the bathroom and showers, very clean!!

This is by far the best NP NF campground I’ve found so far. Great level spots, fire pit, picnic table, asphalt parking for small RVs and vehicle parking near tent sites.

Nice almost off grid camping. The water is down in whole area but they still offered septic dump station. Very nice sites and activities and town close by. Wish we could have stayed longer

Nice campground. Good value, if you can find a spot. Watch for the "reserved" signs. The camp host is very nice amd helpful. Well maintained campground. Very crowded though.

Clean and quiet campground with free showers in a family style room. Close to trails and just across the lake from the swimming beach if you have canoes it's a close row.

We love camping at iron Ridge,it is always clean and well maintained.The camp hosts Ava & Jim are very nice and friendly. The fishing and lake are very close to the camp grounds. We camp there often.

Clean, secluded, spacious campsites in a private, wooded and hilly area of the Wayne National Forest Ironton unit. Very scenic and cozy. The other campground at Vesuvius is more for RVs, and the sites are more closely packed together. If you're camping in a tent and/or just want some privacy, the Iron Ridge campground is the way to go. The campsites were all clean and seemed well-maintained. The roads were in great shape. Easy access.
