Thank you so much for the nice stay! Traveling in 2 Sprinter vans in mid October…the choices were awfully limited, seems 75 % of campgrounds are closed for the season. Two nice sites facing the beautiful little cove. Water at the site was already shut off, the the washroom was clean and the showers hot! :)

Booked in May but assigned sites in open grassy area beside highway and the entrance. No trees - 30 amp service. Excellent dog walking path, but unfortunately the province was under fire an - not just no fires but no walking in woods so had limited opportunity to use this incredible path. Staff were helpful. This is an older park, but the layout still offered walking areas for the dogs. It is on part of the very old range, so outside of the area we were given the camp ground is in wooded areas.

Nice park with friendly hospitalible hosts. We weren't happy with the first site chosen for us, as it was a pull through close to road , which would be ideal for certain campers but not for us. Debbie (owner) suggested another site (37) which was perfect. As soon as we set up we went back to Debbie and changed our stay from 3 nights to 5. This is a generational business that has stood the test of time and evolved with modern facilities, while keeping with the rustic environment that connects camping with nature. WELL DONE

This place was great for what we needed. Full hook ups with friendly staff where they keep place clean. Recycle and garbage kept clean. They have a laundromat as well. Showers are pay to shower, $1 gets you 10 minutes which is long enough to shower and then wait for the timer to run out. They allow tents for people that enjoy camping as it was when camping first began. RVs are also a nice way to enjoy nature here as well. Great place to camp either way you enjoy your camping experience.

Spent 2 nights here, would not recommend. The locations is nice, the staff we met was rather accommodating and helpful, but... On the way to our site, parts of the premises looked like a junkyard with abandoned machinery, rotten fence and such. The washrooms were less than pleasing. Sinks and toilet bowls seemed to be frequently cleaned but as an other reviewer mentions, there were A LOT of spiderwebs, in every corner of the bathrooms and showers. We were late in the season, maybe the staff has built some fatigue but that justifies nothing. We paid a full price afterall. I got the feeling that the owner was letting the place go, did not want to invest in this place. I will do the same.

We had a fabulous time here. One of the things I noticed was the variety of lots. Most offered great privacy but there were some spots that if you were camping with friends or extended family you could book a few spots and feel like it was your own little nook. Seasonal regulars were very friendly. They definitely have a few green thumb campers that stay there. The lots are well maintained and the washrooms and facilities were extremely clean. It is an older campground and family owned, overall great service. Close enough to Canadian Tire or the local grocery store if you’ve forgotten anything but far enough away with a great view of the ocean, lots of foliage and treed spaces.Wifi hot spot only, but we weren’t in need of wifi. A small older playground. Plenty of bunnies hopping around. Not too far from Peggy’s Cove, Albert’s Wharf Art Gallery, Sugar Bubbles soap store, and Tom’s Lobster Shack.

If you're in the Peggy's Cove area and need a place to park your RV or pitch a tent, we highly recommend Wayside Campground. Debbie and the folks there are amazing and treated us like family! A true testament to east coast Canada 🇨🇦 and their unwavering hospitality. Contact Debbie to book your spot.

I have a seasonal trailer there. Love the peacefulness and the people that run it. Great people, friendly, and made alot of friends. Great place.
