I just want to preface this by saying, I am writing this review purely based on the incredible experience we had, and in no where were prompted (or even asked) to leave a review. First, what truly sets this property apart is the customer service. We were greeted by Jake, one of the mangers. He gave us the map and made sure we knew where everything in the park was, and then escorted us to our spot. It was our first time ever in an RV, so he gave us a rundown on all the basics for getting set up. He was so genuinely friendly from the very start and in no way was our inexperience an annoyance to him. It set the tone for the whole trip, and gave us confidence for the next set up. The property was very well kept, clear from trash and other debris. We never really noticed any noises or smells. The restrooms and showers were very clean, and the water was very hot. There are amazing views from all four sides. We were in spot #8 (highly recommend) and had a view of a meadow. It was a short walk to the stream and pond on property. Great place to read a book or get some work done. So peaceful. Whether you’re an experienced RV’er, or newbies like us, you should definitely make this a stop on your next trip through northeastern Nevada.

There are no rooms for rent at this RV Campground, but the sites for RVs, camper vans, travel trailers, etc. are lovely and well kept. Although we didn't meet the owners, we did meet Jake who welcomed us at the gate and drove us to our site after giving a warm and thorough orientation of the campground. We've stayed at a lot of campgrounds and we've never had such a welcoming, enthusiastic and thorough verbal orientation about any of them. Come to think about it, this may be the first campground we've stayed where we felt like we were being welcomed into a home, not a campground. The grounds are lovely and the atmosphere there is glowing with care and consideration. The location of the campground itself it a 5 out of 5 stars, although like most RV campgrounds it's close to the highway. After we arrived in the late afternoon we were taking a stroll (recommend) around the campground and a huge great horn owl swooped down over our heads and landed on a branch, scrutinizing us and the adorable juvenile kitty accompanying us on our stroll. It felt like we were walking in a Hallmark movie, but it was real!

This RV park is just a gem of an oasis in the Nevada high desert. We were greeted by the proprietor in a golf cart who directed us to a pull through slot in a beautifully manicured, park like amidst large, mature trees. The owners are super nice, and for those in need of a campsite or RV site traveling through the Great Basin, you can’t do better. Their wi-fi works extremely well, they have a store and laundry - the park shows marked pride of ownership and we will definitely stop in here again.

We stopped here on our way to Yellowstone and had a delightful visit. The grounds are just very beautiful and extremely well-maintained. The bathrooms are extremely clean and well tended to. The personal welcome guide to show you the grounds provided a little “treasure hunt“ map particularly well designed for children. This enables guests to discover all of the unique aspects of the property, reptiles, hawks, the streams and the flowerbeds. A lovely stay overall, no negatives.

First time at welcome station, but definitely not the last! Nancy and the rest of the staff we met were all very sweet! Nancy left us two little muffins on our rigs step! The grounds are immaculate. The bathrooms and showers are immaculate. They have a "lady bug" scavenger hunt for the kids! The little store sells a variety of necessity and specialty items. Highly recommend!

This is a nice RV park for an overnight stay. The sites are too close for comfort and the facilities are somewhat dated but get the job done. If you happen to stay here longer than a day, be sure to make it to Angel Lake about 25 minutes from the park. The trail to Smith Lake is fun and the lake and surrounding area is beautiful.

Pros: Quaint, shady, well tended. Very nice host. Back area has nice view of the pastures. Fun lady bug hunt for kids and a nice little creek on the side. Cons: Noisy freeway Religious booklet given as a gift at check in. It’s solicitous especially if one has a different faith.

Do not believe the pictures you see online. When we first pulled up we should have left when saw the campground. Doesn't look like the pictures. Ms Jerry was rude as hell. Such a horrible greeting. 'You got your credit card?". Yes ms Jerry but we didn't want to give it to you before we saw the place. Ms Jerry had several spots but wanted us to pull in between two big RVs. We asked her if we could get something on the end and she said no. She said those spots were for other people coming in and they were too small for our rig. She said either that spot or I'll cancel the reservation. Cancel then. Really Ms Jerry, another spot would have been perfect And Ms Jerry we are paying customers and would like to choose our own spot unless of of course that was the only spot left. Ms Jerry learn some customer service skills.

Beautiful nature! 🙏❤️🙏 Open meadow, natural Spring-trout creek, beautiful ponds, mature trees… most important of all, the owners Steve & Nancy are so very nice and attentive to the customers’ needs! They took the time to organize a museum to showcase the history and made it FUN 🤩!!! We appreciate the fact that Steve & Nancy are working hard to make this 5 acres of oasis (in a desert) a peaceful place for humans & nature! They recommended site 20 with full hook up for a quiet overnight rest for us. Love ❤️ everything here! Bathrooms & laundry are very clean. A baby owl ❤️🦉❤️ enjoying the wonderful view of this property on a mature tree branch next to the trout creek, many beautiful horses around…. This is our 2nd across country, will definitely stay here for peaceful rest and enjoying nature. Highly recommending this fantastic oasis - ❤️Welcome Station RV Park, NV. Thank YOU 🙏!

Our friends selected this park randomly from the website and WOW, were we ever happy they did. We were only sorry we were only there for one night as an interim stopover from Yellowstone back home to Reno. It most definitely was an Oasis in the Desert! The property was breathtaking, the sounds from the river, and the absolutely spotless bathrooms and showers were so welcoming! I have no problem recommending this park, and will definitely be returning next year on our trip to Zion! Thanks to the great park hosts Nancy & Steve, you’re awesome!
