5V bar Farm
I rated service low because the camp was unattended. Our check in information and location map where clipped to the wall outside a closed office at 1530 arrival time. The pool was also closed. On a positive the park was clean and facilities were very clean.

I camped in the primitive campground with a tent. So I can't talk about the rooms. The service was outstanding. Come and see Linda and Sandy and they will treat you well. I've never met a more friendly people as Sandy and Linda! Their pool is heated and it's very nice. I enjoyed my swims in the pool and in the lake! The sun rises are outstanding here! I took a swim in the lake and it's very warm at this point in the season.

We loved this West Bay Resort and will return. Full service sites are in the woods and adequately spaced. The lake kayaking was among the best experiences ever! Beaver huts, clear water, green heron, and so much more. It was laundry time and the facilities were immaculate with large capacity machines at very reasonable cost. The beach was small but adequate and the heated pool was inviting. We didn't see the interior of the cabins but imagine that they are as pristine as the other camp facilities. Thanks to Linda and Sandy for the information about the area activities and restaurants. Also, be sure to stop in at the Pioneer Village for a full exposure to the logging industry, the CCC and the Belles.

This was a close to home campground for our first camping trip of the season (memorial weekend). Our site was small; we had to rebuild the firepit and clear away a lot of leaves for safety. Did not use the shower facilities nor went to the office/mini store they had. The heated pool was not available during our stay, but looked like it was a nice size. I was disappointed in the playground for our 2yr old. It was very limited, outdated and some equipment's safety was questionable. We did utilize the boat landing to launch our kayaks. It was adequate.

The spaces were small, mine did not have a fire pit, and you get sand everywhere. But the location was amazing, they're right on a lake, and it was well priced with all the hookups. They do have a pool that was opened late June but when I went to use it late afternoon, it was closed for the day. The staff were nice and very helpful. Linda gave me many recommendations to do while there. If you need anything, just ask her.

First I want to note that we read through many of the reviews and decided to give them a chance even though many of them were negative. 1- called to reserve...they were hard to get. ahold of. 2- arrived, at 4:00pm, office was closed, went to site they assigned and we could not fit our trailer in the site. We tried to contact them about changing sites, the phone rings to the office only and goes to an old school answering machine. (I will note now, to this moment (5 days later, I never received a call back.). On the office door it said any site not marked was available and if there was a problem to be sure to only take a site that was not marked taken, so we did choose another site. Stopped by the office in the morning when they said they would be opened. No one was there, so we filled out a form and left it for them. Three hours later, we receive a call telling us to come and move to another site because the one we picked was not available. It was reserved. (Note - website says absolutely no reservations allowed) 3 - Pool was not even cleaned and opened for the year. (no mention at any communication). 4 - Laundry was closed and so were the showers. When we returned to move the camper the owner proceeded to yell at my husband for taking the site he did. My husband explained we tried to contact them first and then followed directions on the office door. They were rushing him to move and were not kind. We would have considered moving to another spot though it was a chore to pack up and move, but when the owners came over rudely, with unkind attitude we decided to move on to another local campground. Other things to note: They don't take credit. (but don't advertise), They don't have 30 amp, you need to purchase an adapter to covert from 50 to 30. (We only knew this from another negative review.) If you need something or have an emergency, don't think you will be able to contact anyone from the campground if outside of the posted office hours. If the office is closed, you are on your own! If you question them about anything, the owners retort in an unkind manner. You do you....but we will never be back.

The place is getting run down. Only takes cash, no communication, there was no way to get a hold of staff. The pool was not open, the bathrooms and laundry were closed and no word ahead of time. Some of the sites are impossible to get into with a trailer even when you are assigned it. Would NOT recommend this dump.

Very quiet campground. Linda was very helpful with local info re covid restrictions and local things to do. Loved that they delivered firewood to the site.

Absolutely a very quiet and wooded environment. Our site was kinda funky to get into because trees and rocks are close to the road and driveway entering site. This site was recommended to us when we made the reservation but we found others that we preferred when walking around. What thing we found very odd is that there were no bathrooms open, yes we had full full hook up and we have a bathroom and shower but at times when you are walking around or by the lake you don’t always want to walk back to your camper. Pool was closed but we didn’t care. Saw and interacted with Linda on the first day and she was very helpful and nice. Campground is minutes away from Rhinelander and shopping and gas stations. We would definitely go back.
