We stay at Whitetail Ridge Park once each year while we are attending the Azalea Storytelling Festival on the campus of Lagrange College. We really like this campground. It is well kept and clean. The sites are large and easy to get into. The restrooms are clean. I would highly recommend it. However, for festival goers there is one big problem. The hosts lock the gate at 10pm and getting from the festival back to the campground before 10 is a challenge. We usually make it right at 10 or just a minute or two before. This past weekend we had one wonderful camp host and one old grouch. The first one was very helpful and didn’t lock the gate until festival goers were back from the festival. I think we all made it by 10 but this host was checking in us by campsite number and very friendly. The other host wasn’t nearly as nice. My wife and I made it by 9:57 but he was already locking the gate. He opened it to let us in but when my wife rolled down the window to thank him he simply grunted a very unfriendly response. We were worried about the couple behind us who arrived within 5 minutes and possibly 1-2 minutes after 10. They had to beg to be let back in. This is unnecessary. I might have more understanding if we were simply out on our own and paying no regard to the time the gate locks but each time we have rushed back as soon as the festival ends and arrived within minutes of 10pm. This happens once per year. We wouldn’t even be staying here if it weren’t for the festival. We are actively seeking another place to stay but only because of this one problem. Otherwise this is a great campground.

Love this campground, it's clean, gated, and beautiful! We have camped here three times in the last month, we're going back one more weekend before the end of the season! We'll be back next year for sure!!!

Level sites with water and power at each site. Clean bathrooms and showers. Boat ramp and loaner life jackets are available. About 20 minutes from LaGrange, GA and shopping.

Great facilities. No full hook sites but a nice dump area. Lots are big, level and concrete or gravel.

We only spent the night here while attending the Azalea Storytelling Festival in LaGrange. We didn't spend much time at the park. However, it appeared to be a nice campground. The restroom closest to our site was old and had no shower. The one closest to the entrance was old but had a shower. Both were clean. The restroom in the other section of the campground was newer and nicer.

Always loved this place. Been camping here since I was a boy. Clean bath houses. Wish it had a parking lot at the boat ramp. Closed earlier than normal this year. Wish they'd go back to being open until the end of November.

We LOVED this park! Even with our size space 44 & 41 were exceptional. This rates up there with the best ever for a campground. Great for kayaks and boats since they can be moored at the site. It would have 5 stars but no sewer hookup. The dump, however, was clean, wide, and accessible. We will make reservations for next year as soon as they open in April!
